A good housewife in the kitchen is beautiful. But how often the picture is spoiled by old burnt rags, which are used to take hot dishes. But this is not only not aesthetically pleasing, but also inconvenient and dangerous - you can easily burn your fingers. But if you know in which hand you need to hold knitting tools, then you can consider this issue resolved. Even the remains of yarn and deformed threads from old knitwear are also well suited to crocheting a tack. Patterns for knitting can be of varying complexity - from those that take you half an hour to almost works of art. But be prepared for the fact that the result of your work households can inadvertently burn or smear with food.
Simple crochet tack. Scheme for beginners
This project will require a minimum of time and skills from the knitter, and for beginners it will help to hone the skills of forming an even, accurate canvas.
The tack has a square shape, we start work from the center. We close 4 loops in a circle, 1 loop of ascent and begin the pattern: single crochet and 2 air loops. Fun geometry
With the classic “grandmother's square” pattern, the original crocheted tacks are also obtained. The patterns of the pattern are extremely simple: a ring of 4 loops, 3 lifting loops, 2 more as part of the pattern and 3 columns with a crochet and a loop between them. To get smooth angles, add 2 loops each. The columns are staggered. Due to the different colors of yarn, a very interesting effect can be achieved. These squares with rows in rainbow colors look bright and unusual.
Volumetric flower
Based on the Grandma’s Square pattern, many new ones have appeared that will make excellent crochet tacks. Schemes can start both from the center of the square, and from the corner, and here is another option with a three-dimensional flower in the middle.
In series, the work is done as follows:
Yellow
1. Flower core: ringlet - 4 air loops.
2. 1 loop of rise, 8 arches from air loops and columns without a crochet.
White color
3. We make chamomile petals: on each arch we knit 3 air loops, three columns with two crochets and again 3 loops.
Green color
4. The basis for the leaves will be elongated arches of 4 loops that will pass behind the white petals. Due to this, the flower will rise and become voluminous.

To crochet neat tacks, patterns must be calculated based on certain rules. Then the canvas will not be collected by a cone and will not be folded by shuttlecocks.
When crocheting, we always start with 6 stitches, in the front row we do 12 st. s / n, mentally divide them into 12 wedges and in each subsequent row add a loop to the wedge. In order not to get a regular hexagon, the increments need to be slightly shifted relative to each other. This does not affect the number of loops, but it turns out an even flat circle. If we knit with single crochet, we do the same, but start with 6 columns and make additions in every sixth of the circle.
Round potholders
We continue to develop the topic of knitting in a circle. Small remains of multi-colored yarn are useful for work, with them it will turn out to create beautiful crochet potholders. The schemes are quite simple, when working with thick yarn, the project can be done in half an hour.
The highlight of the first version of the two-color tack is a row of “melange” yarn, which was obtained by connecting one thread of each color. Work in rows is done like this:
- Circle of 4 air loops in color A.
- 11 double crochet
- In each loop of the 2nd row, we make two double crochet posts with a multi-colored thread.
- Same as row 3, but with B. color. A total of 44 columns.
- We tie the edge of the tack with color A with a “shell” pattern: we knit five double crochets in one loop, skip one, single crochet, skip one more and repeat five columns.

- We circle 8 air loops in a circle.
- We make a flat circle, which will be the center of the "star". In this example, double crochet columns (18 pcs.) Were used, however, there are variations of the scheme where single crochet columns are used.
- Now we make very elongated arches that will become the basis of the petals: 1 lifting loop, 23 air loops, single crochet - all in one loop. Skip the loop and repeat in a circle. It turns out 9 petals.
- We tie loops with crochets.
- Next, you can use a different color. We continue to tie the petals with single crochet, making the necessary additions: two columns at the tips of each petal. So we knit 6 rows.
- Now the most interesting stage. Beautifully lay the petals and begin to tie the edge of the tack with columns without a crochet. At the tops of the flowers we make a picot (3 air loops between two columns). This is necessary so that the fabric does not wrap around the harness. You can also make a loop for hanging - this is one picot, but not from 3, but 20 loops.
And so this smart "star" is made. You can increase the number of strapping rows, then the tack will look like a circle with a volume center.
Luxurious sunflowers
This cheerful flower will decorate any kitchen. Many craftswomen crochet sunflower pot holders, the patterns are different - from simple circles of black or brown yarn tied in a circle with yellow “shells” to intricate ones, like this one.
But in fact, if you carefully read the description of the previous tack, then this flower will simply be repeated for you. We take the same steps - a flat circle, but from columns with two crochets in the amount of 11 pieces and petals we knit not 9, but 12. We knit them with 3 rows of single crochets and continue working in circles according to the scheme, performing the necessary additions.
Important tip
Do not forget that a tack is primarily a functional subject. A multi-fold cotton yarn is ideal to crochet tacking. Schemes of patterns in which a minimum of holes will allow you to create a product that protects your hands. But this does not mean that you need to give up beautiful fishnet tacks. If there are a lot of holes in the pattern, be sure to make a two-layer version. Sew just a small square or crocheted circle, or a lining of non-woven fabric and cotton fabric.
