"Light green" metro line. New stations: Fonvizinskaya, Butyrskaya and Petrovsko-Razumovskaya

In large cities, there is always a high traffic load, which becomes the reason for the increase in social and psychological tension. The active population makes up the predominant part of the inhabitants of megacities, and often there are simply no real opportunities for building a developed transport infrastructure. Affects the lack of budget and the complexity of the work.

Despite all the difficulties, in September 2016, the capital’s authorities updated the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line (“lime” line) of the metro. New stations are already operating normally. Their discovery made it possible to unwind a whole bunch of sore problems.

The initial project of the Lublin-Dmitrov line

The “light green” metro line became the first line open after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The project was completed during Perestroika, and the construction of almost half of the stations of the Lublin Line, as it was called until 2007, marked the beginning of the path of the Russian Federation as an independent state. The rest of the stations were built in the 2010s, some are planned for commissioning in the near future.

In the 1990s, the section of the branch fully earned with a five-year delay. Against the backdrop of the political crisis, economic downturn, social problems and the Chechen conflict, as well as lack of funding and changes in the route, the delay is completely unsurprising. This fact did not cause a sharp condemnation. After all, the "light green" metro line was still commissioned. New stations and sections of the line opened with a relatively small gap: in 1995, 1996 and 1999.

Construction continued into the 21st century. In 2007, Trubnaya and Sretensky Boulevard became the first stations built within the boundaries of the Ring Line. In total for the period 2007-2015, seven new stations were launched.

The feasibility of a new section of "light green" branches

The opening of a new section of the Lublin-Dmitrov line (the “light green” metro line , Moscow) is vital. Three stations significantly reduced the load on a whole list of streets and thoroughfares, including the main roads in the area: Dmitrovskoye Shosse, Ogorodny Passage and Milashenkova Street. In addition, infrastructure facilities allowed residents of nearby areas to spend less time traveling, and in general unloaded all the northern destinations.

Opening of new stations: Fonvizinskaya, Butyrskaya and Petrovsko-Razumovskaya

The opening of the “light green” metro line, or rather three new stations in the north of Moscow, took place in September 2016. A plot with a total length of five and a half kilometers was laid 25 years ago, but the project was fully completed only now. All three deep-seated stations: Fonvizinskaya, Butyrskaya and Petrovsko-Razumovskaya are located at a depth of more than sixty meters underground. By the way, it was deep laying and water-saturated soils that often often caused delays in the commissioning of new sections on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line (“lime” line) of the metro.

New stations currently operate as usual. “Fonvizinskaya” does interest passengers with the further prospect of decoration: a tunnel of white marble and black granite will soon acquire images of characters from the comedy “Undergrowth” with a 3D effect.

Further construction plans

In 2017, it is planned to put into operation another section of the Lublin-Dmitrov line (“lime” line) of the metro. The new stations will make the city center closer for several thousand passengers living in large Dmitrovsky and Beskudnikovsky districts and Western Degunino in the north of the capital. Also, new facilities will help reduce the number of cars in the area and reduce the load on some types of public transport.
