The history of the sanatorium "Velegozh"
The Velegozh resort (Tula region) has a rather long history. In place of the current buildings in 1906, the local doctor Tarasov set up a large wooden house and opened a preventive clinic. Not only Tula residents came here, but also patients from the capital. But, unfortunately, the revolution interrupted this story. The room of the clinic was not preserved, but perhaps the botanical garden, which even today adorns the sanatorium, remained from Dr. Tarasov.
In the late 1920s and early 1930s, a tuberculosis sanatorium was opened here from the administration of the Tula region. He existed until the opening of the Velegozh Rest House from the USSR Ministry of Railways. In the early 60s of the last century, it was transferred to the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions. Currently, Velegozh (sanatorium, Tula region) is a private property. Its owners maintain a high level of relaxation, treatment and service.
