The Palace of Peace and Accord, built in Astana, is a unique structure made in the shape of a pyramid. It was built in 2006 in the capital of Kazakhstan. The grand opening of the palace took place on September 1, 2006. Construction was carried out under the guidance of renowned architect Norman Foster, who arrived from Britain. Today this building is the main attraction of the capital.
The eighth wonder of the world

The underground part of the structure is built in dark colors (lower world), the part of the building, which occupies a middle position, is made in white colors (symbol of peace), and the palace is crowned with a glass dome - a symbol of boundless sky.
The grandeur and elegance of the construction are given by the interesting upper part, made in the form of a stained-glass window, on which pigeons are depicted. The number of birds - 130, this symbolizes the number of all nationalities living in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is also unique that the Palace of Peace and Accord was built in strict accordance with the golden section rule: the length of one side laid in the foundation is equal to the total height of the structure.
