Biscornuu: diagram and assembly tips

Each needlewoman of the house has all kinds of work - various types of embroidery, dresses for dolls, daughters and homemade soft toys, and the stocks contain patterns - biscorn, amigurumi or diamond mosaics. Even if the masterโ€™s heart belongs to cross-stitch, no, no, yes, she will pick up a thread, a needle or rhinestones to try herself in something new.

Krivushka originally from France

Biscorn appeared among Russian needlework quite recently and soared to the top of popularity. Little funny pillows are deeply loved by everyone, without exception. Each one found its own outlet here - because the biscorn has absorbed all the charms of needlework - sewing, embroidery and beadwork.

Bright biscorn - a great gift

What is bisquorn? This is a small pillow used as a keychain, a needle bed or a cute interior detail that came to us from France. The word biscornu itself translates as "crooked", "ridiculous", "funny." In Russian, the pillow is called "krivushka" or "krivulka".

Biscorn is sewn from two parts of different shapes. The secret is exactly how the halves are sewn together. On the Internet and feature magazines, you can find various patterns of biscorn. Let us dwell on them in more detail.

Types of biscuits and assembly diagram

In total, there are many types of pads, they all differ in shape:

  • The biscuit is classic. It is sewn from two identical squares of fabric. First, a certain pattern is embroidered on them - a cross, a smooth surface, is decorated with sequins or beads. The edges of the squares are embroidered with a seam โ€œback to the needleโ€ - this is one of the most important points, since the pad is sewn exactly at the seam. Squares are erased and carefully smoothed. The angle of one of them joins the middle of the side of the second part. Then the crook is sewn around. In this case, only the seam threads should be captured. The finished product is carefully stuffed with filler - foam rubber, cotton, sintepon, and in the middle is pulled together with a bead or button.
  • Berlingo is one of the types of biscore, the assembly scheme of which is somewhat different from its classical form. Initially, a rectangular piece of fabric is taken, on which the pattern and contour are sewn with a backstitch seam ("back needle"). The finished product is washed and steamed. Next comes the fun part - the short sides of the rectangle must be sewn together. Having reached the corner, you should continue to sew in the same direction. The second side must be folded perpendicularly already stitched and connected along the seam. In the corner of the berlingo you can fix the ribbon.
  • Pendibul. For this type of pads, one square should be embroidered. It is desirable that the pattern is on two opposite sides. As in previous cases, the finished work needs to be removed from the markup and ironed. Then the square must be folded diagonally and stitched. Stitch the sharp corners of the resulting triangle together. The resulting curve will resemble a heart or a pyramid.
