Museum History
The museum began its work in 2008. It has two branches: in the 130 quarter and in the Academgorodok. The “ experiment ” in Irkutsk has almost non-repeating devices in the branches. The opening of this unique institution took place at the Irkutsk Center of the SB RAS with the aim of promoting scientific ideas among the population. And the model of the Earth’s atmosphere, in which lighter molecules fly up and heavy ones fall down, is made of brightly colored foam and an ordinary fan.
Among the curious exhibits of the Irkutsk Experimentarium Museum visitors include a chair with 1,024 nails driven into it. Any guest of the museum can sit on this chair, and without prejudice to his health: due to the large number of nails, the fulcrum increases and the weight is distributed evenly on these sharp objects. No less interesting is the unusual device for launching smoke rings.

A person’s head is placed in a hole in which laundry is usually loaded, and he can make any sounds without hesitation and without hiding his feelings, since the technique has high sound insulation.
