The village of Severskaya in the Krasnodar Territory is the administrative center of the Seversky district. It is located in the southwestern part of the region, on the left tributary of the Kuban - the Ubin River. It is 34 kilometers from Krasnodar, 110 from Novorossiysk. History
The territory located between the Przeciz and Sukhabl posts was occupied by units of the Seversky Regiment. From May to June 1863, the Highlanders began to attack the regiment. This could only be prevented by the creation of a post to control the terrain. Dragoons of the regiment from the reserve squadron were engaged in construction. June 22, 1863 the construction of the post was completed, it was named after the builders Seversky. Later, on the site of the abolished post, a village was built, called the Severskoy.

During the Great Patriotic War in 1942, the village was occupied by the Nazis. From the very first days of the occupation, enemy troops began the extermination of civilians in Seversky.
