Sosnovy Bor, the Isloch River, the remoteness of settlements - here is the Nalibokskaya Pushcha children's sanatorium. This is a year-round health resort, in which, in addition to providing effective treatment, the educational process is organized. Children with skin, respiratory, digestive and cardiovascular diseases from 4 years old are accepted for treatment, from 6 years old for recovery. One of the features of the sanatorium is that only children are accepted.
Location and infrastructure
On the territory of the largest forest in Belarus, in the Nalibokskaya Pushcha, in the pine forest of the Volozhinsky district, a children's sanatorium of the same name was founded in 1981. Within a radius of 40 km there are no harmful industries. It occupies 26 hectares of forest, where there are seven one-story houses with three- and four-bed rooms, designed in the summer for 180, and in the winter for 150 children taken to the sanatorium. The house has toilets, showers, hot and cold water, dryers.
In the halls there are TVs and games rooms. The same one-story houses are occupied by the administration of the sanatorium, medical, school building, a dining club and a hydropathic center. The resort has a games room and equipped playground. Children in the school period are taught according to the school curriculum from 0 to 9 grade.
In 2016, the sanatorium was reconstructed, equipment was updated and cosmetic repairs were carried out. The dining room feeds the children in one shift, as there are 200 seats. A promising 24-day menu has been developed for diets No. 5, No. 10 and No. 15. Every day, children are provided with fresh vegetables, fruits and dairy products.
Trip to the sanatorium
The focus of the sanatorium is the treatment of schoolchildren from 6 to 13 years old. The length of stay in the sanatorium "Nalibokskaya Pushcha" is determined by the time of rehabilitation or treatment and ranges from 12 days to 21 days.
The price of a ticket for one child includes: six meals a day, accommodation in a house, all types of examination and treatment of the underlying disease or rehabilitation measures after treatment. This also includes the pedagogical process during the period of schooling and cultural and entertainment programs. To check into the sanatorium, parents must prepare a set of documents, which includes: a ticket for the child, an extract from the hospital outpatient card, a vaccination record, from a dermatologist and epidemiologist.
Health Resort Medical Base
The sanatorium "Nalibokskaya Pushcha" is the only one in Belarus where children with skin diseases are treated. For therapy, mineral water is used for drinking and balneological treatment. Mud therapy is carried out by the sapropelic mud of Lake Wild. Healing fresh mud in sealed packages is brought to the sanatorium. It is used in the form of applications and galvano-mud procedures. Procedures for hydrotherapy and mud therapy are prescribed by health therapists, depending on the child’s disease, indications and contraindications for treatment. The number of procedures depends on the number of days of therapy.
Natural healing factors
Being in the sanatorium "Nalibokskaya Pushcha" is indicated for excitable children and children with chronic respiratory diseases. The clean air of the mixed forest affects the child's body in the form of aerotherapy in outdoor games, sports fields. Children receive heliotherapy by taking sun baths at the artificial reservoir and on the "dry beach" of the sanatorium, where sun loungers and umbrellas are installed. Such appointments are necessary primarily for children with skin diseases. Bathing in the lake has a three-sided effect on the skin of the child - thermal, chemical and mechanical, which contributes to overall recovery.
Since 2009, a speleoclimatic clinic has been operating on the territory of the Nalibokskaya Pushcha sanatorium. This project was carried out under the supervision of Ph.D. A. S. Bogdanovich. Salt blocks were delivered from the Soligorsk potash mines. The procedures prescribed by therapists are taken by children with bronchial asthma, a chronic form of bronchitis with asthmatic components.
