“Cedar Island” is one of the best recreation centers for lovers of secluded nature and mountain landscapes. This is a real tourist village with good standards of service. Where is it, how to get there
The village closest to the Kedrovy Ostrov base is Ust-Sema on the Chemal highway. Four hundred and ninety kilometers from here to Novosibirsk. The base is quite popular among Siberians, and therefore in the summer - including in September - on Fridays and Sundays, as well as New Year and May holidays, charter bus flights go there. Own car you need to get to the city of Biysk. Then go along the highway through the village of Srostki, Maima and Ust-Sema. And from there along the Chemal highway to the tourist village about two kilometers. Regular buses run to Ust-Sema from cities such as Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Biysk and Gornoaltaysk. The road is paved to the tourist village itself.
Accommodations
The guests of the base "Cedar Island" settled in six wooden cottages. The buildings are made of timber. The rooms in which the guests live are thirty-six. Half of them belong to the Standard category. They are located on the second floors of the cottages. For every three rooms there is one bathroom with toilet and shower (hot water around the clock). Two people can live in these rooms. There is a basic set of amenities - beds, hangers, sockets. Another eighteen rooms are located on the ground floor. This is a luxury room. In each of these rooms, the bathroom is located directly in the room. Children under five are lodged for free. In summer, more than one hundred people are accommodated here, and in winter - sixty. Each floor has a refrigerator. In the common halls are televisions. There are living rooms with a dining area and glazed verandas. One of the cottages has a kitchen. Service
The administration of the complex welcomes guests around the clock. Settlement, as in most hotels - from noon. And you need to leave before eleven in the morning. With pets, "Cedar Island" (recreation center) can only settle in the low season, if you agree on this with the leadership of the tourist village. But if there are a lot of people, then they will refuse you. There is a cellular communication at the base - these are Beeline, MTS and Megafon. There is Wi-Fi in the complex. Guests of the base can park their cars at the parking lot for free. There is a Russian bathhouse that needs to be ordered from the administration. They also offer Siberian SPA - cedar phytobarrel with water with the collection of Altai herbs. On the territory there are gazebos where you can sit in the summer with a fun company. Base "Cedar Island" (Altai) has its own restaurant, consisting of five rooms. There, tourists can eat three times a day, ordering comprehensive sets of dishes or choose them from the menu. You can cook your own food outdoors - on the grill, grill or barbecue. All equipment is provided by the administration. Firewood can be bought on site. The price includes breakfast. A lunch and dinner will cost guests a maximum of one and a half thousand rubles per day per person. For tourist groups there is a special canopy so that they can organize camp cuisine. The complex has a bar. Tea and coffee are provided free of charge. A banquet hall is open for large celebrations.
Excursions
Base "Cedar Island" (Altai Mountains) offers guests walks in the local forests - both hiking and horse riding, as well as rafting - rafting on rafts in Katun. And if tourists come by their own cars, then during the day they can drive to many not very distant sights. Chemalsky Krai in itself is a very spectacular place with a good climate. The air here treats diseases of the respiratory tract, including tuberculosis, therefore, in Soviet times, many sanatoriums were built here. On the Katun River is the island of Patmos, where there is a working convent and a small town. You can go there via a suspension bridge. The island is rocky with amazing views.
