Budva hotels - advantages and disadvantages

Montenegro is a very small country with wonderful nature, warm climate and very clear sea. Here, at every step, tourists come across historical monuments. They are abundant on the territory of the Budva Riviera and Budva itself - a famous resort and one of the most ancient cities of the Adriatic. There are many hotels of different levels and private villas. Budva hotels offer various accommodation options. Prices in them, due to high competition, are sometimes lower than in other similar resorts. Let's consider some of them in more detail.

The most luxurious and expensive hotels in Budva

As in any self-respecting resort, there are fashionable five-star hotels with presidential apartments, spa services, a casino and a business center. The most famous of them is Avala Resort & Villas 5 * (Montenegro, Budva). Hotels of this level are usually located in the central part of the resort. So, Avala Resort & Villas is located 200 meters from the fortress walls of the Old Town. It has a main building and a whole complex of individual villas immersed in dense vegetation on the side of a mountain. All rooms have large terraces with panoramic views of the sea, Old Budva, its ramparts and the famous Mogren beach.

Luxury hotel but a little cheaper

Four-star hotels in Budva are also very comfortable. The most interesting of them seems Astoria, located within the walls of the Old Town. This small hotel has a private beach and a rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the sea, mountains and the Old Town. Among the shortcomings of such options (when the hotel is built into the old infrastructure), one can note the small size of the rooms, small windows, the lack of views from them and the noise from tourists walking along the city streets.

It should be noted that in most cases it is on the first line from the sea that Budva presents its four-star hotels. 4 stars rightfully belong to the hotel complex Alexandar Montenegro Luxury Suites & Spa. This is a modern, luxurious aparthotel with fully equipped kitchens. It is located in close proximity to the fortress walls of the Old Town.

Quite affordable accommodation options in the 3 * category

Three-star hotels in Budva are quite comfortable, and some of them are even located on the first line, almost on the beach. The most famous, Slovenska Plaza 3 * and Hotel Aleksandar 3 *, are modern tourist complexes. They have a large territory, surrounded by park greenery. Slovenska Plaza has two swimming pools, a shopping center, several restaurants. This hotel consists of eleven three-story buildings, they feature both standard rooms and apartments, designed for a different number of residents. Hotel Aleksandar is a complex of snow-white two-story bungalows with blue window shutters. As in Slovenska Plaza, Hotel Aleksandar has apartments (in addition to standard rooms). But the beaches at these hotels are rocky and quite small for so many residents.
