Clay of brown and beige shade is taken. Triangles are formed from both pieces and connected so that a rectangle is formed. In this case, beige is taken twice as much as brown. Clay is rolled out with an acrylic rolling pin, each time folding the layer in half. Gradually, an increasingly smooth transition from one color to another will turn out.
Having received the desired shade, the oval layer is cut transversely into many strips of approximately the same width (from 2 to 4 centimeters). After that, the strips are stacked. In this case, the second plate is placed one centimeter forward, and the third one a centimeter back and then in the desired order.
At the resulting pile, the ends are cut to give an even shape. This is most conveniently done with a special blade. A cylinder is carefully formed from the stack with his hands. Then it is cut with a blade into small plates. They will form petals. Moreover, the thinner the plate, the smaller the diameter of the future petal. Slices stretch and thin with fingers first.
