Station "Elizarovskaya" - the metro, which is well known not only to residents of the Northern capital, but also to many tourists. There are several reasons for this popularity. We will try to discuss at least a few of them.
Section 1. General description of the object
Station "Elizarovskaya" - the metro that belongs to the Nevsky-Vasileostrovskaya branch of the St. Petersburg metro and is located in the Nevsky district of the Nevskaya Zastava district.
This 3 metro line of St. Petersburg, marked in green, passes through the center and connects the western and southeastern regions of the northern capital. There is a station between the stops "Alexander Nevsky Square" and "Lomonosov". That is why the metro station "Elizarovskaya" is an address that is well recognized by every traveler.
From the ground lobby you can get to the eponymous avenue and Babushkina street. The station is an intermediate metro stop.
Section 2. Construction History
The 25th metro station, which is part of the Ploshchad Aleksandra Nevskogo and Lomonosovskaya sections, was launched on December 21, 1970.
Station "Elizarovskaya" - metro, which in its underground part was built according to the project of architects I.I. Komaldinova and A.K. Komaldinova together with design engineers A.D. Evstarov and O.V. Greitz. The authors of the ground lobby were A.S. Getzkin and V.P. Shuvalova.
The station got its name in honor of Elizarov Avenue, on which, strictly speaking, the Elizarovskaya metro station is located. On the city map, it is clearly visible, therefore, as a rule, neither St. Petersburgers nor many tourists find problems with it.
It should be noted that initially it was planned to give the name "Elizarov Avenue" according to the design of the station.
Section 3. Characteristic features of the transport hub
St. Petersburg station "Elizarovskaya" - the metro, which refers to a closed type of deep-laid structures and has a depth of 62 meters.
Such underground underground structures are a special kind of column-wall metro stations without side landing sites. Special openings separate the central passenger platform from the tunnel paths where the train stops. The apertures of the walls are closed by sliding gates resembling elevator doors.
For decoration, marble slabs of light gray shades were used. The floor of the landing platform is lined with granite. Sliding doors in the openings are painted black and decorated with corrugated tape. On a metal ledge located above the doors, there is an inscription with the name of the station. A strip of fluorescent lamps is installed along its upper part . In addition to them, the station has direct lighting. One of the walls in the subway is decorated with a relief image “Rise of the proletariat” (by DM Nikitin).
An inclined course with three escalator belts is located on the south side of the station. The walls of the escalator hall are lined with wood-like lighting and are illuminated by lamps located on both sides and on the balustrade. The rise has a corrugated armocement arch.
The ground lobby has high ceilings and large glazed windows, under which there is a balcony with an escalator, closed to passengers. Due to the windows in the pavilion it is very light and spacious. Lamps installed on the ceiling provide the room with additional lighting. A visor is installed above the entrance to the pavilion.
The distance from the station “Elizarovskaya” to the stop “Ploshchad Aleksandra Nevskogo” is 3.7 kilometers and is the longest in St. Petersburg; it is the second longest in Russia. In the station area is located N.K. House of Culture Krupskaya and Palevsky park. Passengers can use the metro from 5.38 in the morning until 00.24 in the night.
