The All-Russian Children's Center "Eaglet" is located on the Black Sea coast in the city of Tuapse. Children from all over Russia come here.
How did the camp begin?
The first shift was back in 1960, in July. Then from 37 regions of Russia, the camp was visited by 520 children. The workers were Artek counselors in the amount of 14 people, including Andreev A.I., who headed the "Eaglet".
Then the camp was very small. It consisted of a pioneer pavilion with a library and a playroom, left-luggage offices, showers, a dining room, a wooden stage and 28 tarpaulin tents along the sea. The solemn line in honor of the opening was held in 1960 on July 12. The duration of this shift was 45 days.
In the afternoon, the guys planted trees and flowers, cleaned up garbage, thereby helping builders. And in the evening we sat by the fire and sang songs. Throughout the shift, they were instilled with special social ideals:
- to be a citizen and patriot, a fighter and a hard worker, a devoted friend and comrade, a person of diverse culture;
- have high morality, deep knowledge, live in the name of the common good.
The image of a brave boy in a red-star Budenovka helped children evaluate their actions.
Nowadays
The circle of Eagles, campfire songs, legends, evening light are still alive and have become traditional.
At the moment, the camp implements international, federal and regional educational programs. Children are invited to an active holiday, here they gain experience that is sure to be useful to them in life.
Meetings are regularly held with famous people: politicians, writers, scientists, athletes and artists. Together with counselors, boys and girls spend their leisure time and engage in creativity. Work is also an integral part of the life of the eagles. They clean up the territory, make beds, put things in order in the sleeping room, and also are on duty around the camp and in the dining room.
There are camps, a school, the Palace of Culture and Sports, the Aviation House, exhibitions, a sports complex, workshops for various creative work, a medical building and other facilities on the territory of the Eaglet "Orlyonok".
Mountain and sea air, a large number of sunny days a year, the opportunity to swim in the sea and a golden beach - all these are excellent conditions for relaxing and improving children.

At the moment, there are seven camps in the children's center, each of which has its own showers, medical facilities, summer stages, dining rooms and special places equipped for the work of the detachments.
So, in summer houses are located:
- "Solar";
- "Patrol";
- "Komsomol".
Three and four-story buildings are occupied by units:
- "Star";
- "Stormy";
- "Olympic";
- "Swift."
Children from 11 to 16 years old are admitted to the children's center year-round. Five meals a day are organized for them. Each squad has its own medical center providing round-the-clock assistance. Security and rescue services are running smoothly.
Children's center "Eaglet": camp "Star"
On the territory of the squad there is an astronomical observatory, a space staircase, as well as a four-story building resembling a ship. In the building of the children's health camp "Zvezdniy" 400 children fit, 14 each are eagled in the room. On the floors there are all amenities. Special classes are reserved for vocals, playing musical instruments and choreography. In addition, the building has a laundry, ironing, drying, medical center, a place for recharging phones, a left-luggage office, a cash desk and a Wi-Fi zone.
For leisure, the eagles are provided with various circles, for example, such as:
- floristry;
- knitting;
- embroidery;
- art;
- vocal;
- dance;
- manufacture of leather, paper, vine, straw;
- burning, painting on stone and wood;
- patchwork mosaic.
Children not only attend their favorite disciplines, but also study aerospace medicine, the basics of life safety, and are also involved in astronomical observations. In the evenings, discos or movie screenings take place.
Of course, active recreation is not conceivable without sports. There are various sports grounds on the campsite where you can play basketball, soccer, pionerball, streetball, volleyball, etc. The squad houses places for table tennis, chess, drafts, billiards and air hockey.
A lot of attention in the children's center "Orlyonok", the camp "Star" is paid and tourism activities. Children learn to navigate the area and go hiking, where they cook at the stake.
In summer, the shift is 21 days, at other times of the year - 30 days.
Beach vacation
The corps of the squad is located near the sea. Zvezdnoy camp also has its own beach. Swimming places for children are marked with special floats, there are sunshades. There is a special time for visiting:
- from 7.30 to 8.30;
- from 9.30 to 12.30;
- from 16.30 to 18.30.
Children are supervised by counselors, a medical professional, a lifeguard, and swimming instructors.
Camp shifts
All year round, various programs are being implemented at Oryolka, which include promotions, flash mobs, round tables and other bright events. Without exception, everyone has the opportunity to reveal their abilities and talents while participating in gaming and competitive events.
In the children's center "Eaglet" camp "Star" implements a special project called "United by Space". Assistance in this is provided to him by the Yu.A. Gagarin Center. This institution prepares astronauts for flights.

The recreation center is the site where the All-Russian Forum "Boomerang" is constantly held - an open event for children’s on-screen creativity. Every year, film and television masters and journalists come to meet with the eagles, they conduct master classes. Among them are such famous people as Alexey Lysenkov, Alexander Shkolnik, Sergey Miroshnichenko, Vladimir Grammatikov, Sergey Tsymbalenko.
In the center of "Eaglet", in the camp "Star", there is even a detachment of counselors. It is called the "Eternally One Burning Army", in other words - VEGA. In honor of the brightest star belonging to the constellation Lyra. That is how the eyes of the people working here with great creative potential burn. Before joining the pedagogical staff of the children's center, counselors visit the School of Teachers and go to practice.

The guys who visited the "Eaglet", certainly want to come back here again. They leave a lot of enthusiastic reviews about their counselors, new friends, delicious food and interesting life in the camp. They especially like to swim in the sea, play games on the beach and participate in flash mobs.
According to the parents, their children bring a lot of impressions and a huge amount of positive emotions from the rest. They recall with nostalgia the campaigns, songs around the campfire, the Oryol circle, discos, clubs and other components of their life in the camp.
