Every mom knows these torments. What to do if a holiday or carnival at school, in a kindergarten is approaching, but there is no outfit? Nobody wants their beloved child to feel "worse than others" ... In fact, a
costume can be made
from improvised materials in a matter of minutes. And the most interesting thing is to give your child the freedom of creativity - and you will witness a small miracle. Let him take advantage of the old things that are in the attic, mezzanines, in suitcases ... Grandmother's gloves, mother's dresses and down scarves, shawls and boots - and the costume from improvised materials is ready. Freedom of creativity is extremely important. In every house there are things that no one needs, but throwing them away is a pity. From the downy gray Orenburg shawl ... excellent eagle wings are obtained. Any belt can be used as a buckle for a knightโs cloak, a
superhero. A suit from improvised materials implies utmost ease of manufacture. To cut there, to tighten, to stab - and neither the thread nor the needle will be required.
A carnival costume from improvised materials is, for example, a "man-TV" from an old box. Or a snow monster from batting or sintepuha. Any old sports leotard can turn into a suit from improvised materials: it is enough to use
paints for fabric, shawls ... even curtains. Various accessories will also go into business. For example, gloves. It is enough to cut off the fingers of the old mittens, dump them into fluff and feathers, having previously smeared them with glue, and an excellent element of a carnival outfit will be ready. Original costumes from improvised materials, ideas for which can be found in magazines for needlewomen, involve the use of all kinds of waste. Packaging film, polystyrene foam, cardboard, old textile items - everything will go to work.
A costume made of improvised materials must have at least one bright and memorable detail. It can be a crown from a box and foil or a mask from decorative paper. It is not necessary to look for complex patterns, sit down at a sewing machine, or buy expensive fabric. Old boots can serve as a striking detail for a pirate or hunter costume . Acrylic paints are suitable for decorating the skin. A curtain or organza for curtains will become both a brideโs veil and a train of a princess or ... wings of a butterfly or dragonfly. Wire frames can be made in minutes. It is easy to fasten everything with both threads and glue - for example, in a gun. Convenient for such types of creativity is a special braid on non-woven or non-woven fabric. It is enough to put it between the parts that we want to connect and iron with a warm iron. Later, such glue can be erased or washed several times.

For home-made suits, any packaging materials, such as nets from vegetables and fruits, will do. Just remember about safety: not all are suitable for young children. For example, polyethylene or cellophane should not be used as costume parts. The same can be said about the foam, and about the nets - in general about everything that can hurt, or that the child is able to inhale or swallow.
