A vase of paper can be a decorative decoration at home and an unusual souvenir gift. You can make it in a variety of ways from improvised materials, glue and origami. Let's start with simple but unusual paper crafts.
Vase flashlight
For this product you need to take gift and office white paper, scissors, thick cardboard. Take the cardboard and glue it into the tube. In principle, you can use two or three rolls of toilet paper, which must be glued together.
Next, glue the roll with white office paper. This will be the base of the vase. You can take a different color. It will depend on the gift paper. From two edges on a roll, mark 1.5 centimeters and draw a barely noticeable line with a pencil in a circle.
Next, cut the gift paper into 1.5-centimeter-wide strips. Their length should be such as to turn the vase 180 degrees and keep the shape of a flashlight. Instead of gift paper, you can use a decorative fabric that needs to be glued to a Whatman paper and cut into strips.
Now glue the strip on both sides of the roll to the pencil line diagonally, that is, the second edge in comparison with the first should be 180 degrees. Glue the strips tightly to each other at the edges, and in the middle a wave-like pattern is formed. It turns out an original elegant vase of paper.
Book decorative vase
To make an unusual craft you will need:
- Unnecessary books of the same size;
- cardboard;
- scissors;
- pencil;
- bottle;
- glue.
Using a glass bottle, measure the height and measure it on cardboard. Draw a vase or bottle half template. It is with these blanks that the bottle will be glued. Now put the template on the book, firmly press and cut the blanks with a cutter.
Try not to warp the book mount. It is enough to cut two of them in the shape of a vase. Then, when folding the covers to each other, a convex vase shape is formed. These blanks are wrapped around a glass bottle and glued to each other. It turns out an unusual newspaper vase of paper for flowers.
For this craft, it’s important to take the bottle straight, without bends. Depending on the template, you can create different shapes of vases, bottles, flowerpots. The more books you use, the more dense the shape is for the product. Otherwise, the pages protrude, and the integrity of the product is violated.
Multicolored paper vase
Another option for beginners is to make an original craft using the quilling technique. To do this, take multi-colored magazines, paper, scissors and glue. Cut the sheets into thin strips. Their width determines the density of the product.
To make the vase tight, it is better to make it from tight rolls. To do this, wind the strip onto a pencil and glue the edge. If there is no special tool for wrapping paper, then make an incision in a toothpick and insert a strip into it.
Rolls need to be done a lot, in different sizes. Next, carefully glue together the rolls in the form of a vase. Glue each new row only after drying the previous one. You can paste the finished bottle with paper blanks, then it will be possible to put flowers in it.
Decorative vases can be made from other figures. To do this, make a free roll, then glue the end of the paper and create the shape of a leaf, square, eye. But such products will be fragile. A vase of paper will be colorful if rolls are made from strips of different colors.
How to make an origami vase? Preparatory stage
Cut from 18 sheets of A4 560 white, from 6 sheets - 192 red and from 2 sheets - 36 yellow rectangles. The standard dimensions of the rectangles are 5.3x7.4 cm or 3.7x5.3 cm. Next, make the modules:
- take a rectangle and fold it in half so that the edges are closed in length;
- bend and straighten the strip along this line several times;
- then put the narrow rectangle obtained with the bent side up and fold it in half, closing the sides in width;
- bend and straighten the rectangle several times along this line to draw a stable fold line;
- straighten a narrow rectangle and bend the corners like an airplane (note that the shape of the house turns out: a triangle on top and rectangles on the bottom);
- flip the figure so that the face is a solid triangle and bend the rectangles up;
- further, at the rectangles, bend the corners along the line of the figure and tuck them inward (that is, the corners should not wrap the module, they are bent inward);
- Now bend the resulting triangle in half.
It turned out a kind of triangle with pockets where other modules will be inserted.
Origami from paper: vase patterns
Modular origami is a kind of paper constructor. Arrange the modules in a checkerboard pattern, then connect two rows of 16 pieces and close in a ring. Make another row in a checkerboard pattern and turn the workpiece inward. It turns out that the middle fits snugly on the table, and the ends of the modules rise up.
This is the base of the vase. In this position, add a series of white modules. Next row - start adding red triangles.
- 5 row: alternate to the end 3 white (B) and 1 red (K) modules.
- 6p: 2B, 2K.
- 7p: 1B, 3K.
- 8 row completely of red triangles, add 4 modules evenly.
- 9p: 1 yellow (G), 4K (yellow triangles are located under the red modules of the fifth row).
- 10o: 2G, 3K.
- 11p: 3Zh, 2K.
- 12p: 2Zh, 3K.
- 13R: 1ZH, 4K. Please note: from yellow, peculiar patterns similar to rhombuses are obtained.
- 14p: there will be all red modules and add 4 more triangles evenly. That is, a total of 24.
The final stage of an origami vase
Next is the alternation of red and white modules according to the scheme. Please note that the white ones are set exactly above the white triangles from the 7th row:
- 15 row: 1B, 5K.
- 16r: 2B, 4K.
- 17p: 4B, 3K. Add evenly 4 pieces of white color.
- 18r: 5B, 2K.
- 19r: 6B, 1K.
- 20 row completely of white triangles, add 4 more pieces (there will be 32 pieces in total).
- 21p: 32B.
A vase of paper flowers is almost ready. It remains to make decorative edges. To do this, insert 4 white modules into each other. Such racks need to be made 16. The same number of arches must be made of 13 triangles and legs.
Now from the racks you make the legs for the vase and insert them through one module to the bottom of the vase. From above, also through the module, install the racks on which you install the arches. An origami paper vase made of paper is ready! You can put paper or dry flowers in it.
