The capital of Cuba is one of the most amazing cities on the planet. It is located directly on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico. It can be safely stated that, being the main economic, political and cultural center of the country, Havana annually attracts a huge number of tourists from all over the globe.
If you delve into history, you can find out that the Cuban capital was founded by Spanish conquistadors at the beginning of the 16th century, which is why most of the locals now speak Spanish. Since then, the central part of the city, called Old Havana, managed to acquire an original and incomparable architectural flavor. Here, different styles, directions and characteristics are successfully combined.
This is the most populated city in the country, in which more than two and a half million people currently live. The ethnic composition is very unusual: 70% of the total population of the metropolis are descendants of immigrants from Spain, and the rest (quite substantial) is represented by a population of Native American-African blood.

In general, Cuba (Havana, in particular) offers relaxation for every taste. The city lives quite an active cultural life. Every year people come here who are not averse to enjoying incendiary music, dancing in night clubs and just having a great time. 720 thousand square kilometers of the Cuban capital are bordered by breathtaking bays - Havana and San Lizaro. The bay, whose name is consonant with the name of the city, connects through a narrow strait to the Gulf of Mexico. Havana boasts the presence of three ports at once: Guanabacoa, Marimelena and Atares. In each of them it is pleasant to stroll in the evening, sit over a cup of coffee in a cozy cafe and admire the majestic courts.
The climate of Havana disposes to rest throughout the year. The temperature of the water, even during the cold months, does not fall much lower than +24 ° C, and the air warms up to +25 ° C. For this reason, a comfortable stay, without suffocating heat and exhausting heat is guaranteed to every traveler. Climate seasonality, it should be noted, is poorly expressed, so it is quite difficult to predict the weather. It happens that during the so-called rainy season (from May to October) there are sunny and dry days, and in November-April a real tropical rain falls.
