Station “Novosibirsk Main”
The main station of Novosibirsk, of course, is the Main. This name is given to the station from which all trains and trains of the city depart. Here in the XIX century the construction of the local section of the Trans-Siberian Railway began. At the newly opened Ob station, a wooden station building was built with mail, waiting rooms and a buffet. However, the traffic flow at this station grew at such a rapid pace that both the station and the city were soon called Novonikolaevsk, which in 1926 was changed to Novosibirsk. So the modern station can be safely considered the starting point of the metropolis.

It is also important for visitors that right under the station square is the metro station “Ploshchad im. Garina-Mikhailovsky. ” It allows you to move around the metropolis, as well as get to the left bank of the city called Novosibirsk.
The station and Tolmachevo Airport connect two city bus routes - 111 and 312. Look for a stop on the side of the square opposite the station.
Other railway stations of Novosibirsk
In addition to the Novosibirsk Glavny station, there are three more large railway junctions in the city, called stations. It:
- “Novosibirsk Yuzhny”, located in the Oktyabrsky district;
- “Novosibirsk West”, located in the Leninsky district;
- "Novosibirsk East", located in the Kalinin district.

Bus station
This is a station that can be reached on a variety of intercity bus routes. Every hour flights depart from the bus station both throughout Siberia and to the neighboring cities of neighboring Kazakhstan.
There is a bus station at the very beginning of Krasny Prospekt, however, despite the importance of this transport hub and its central location, the condition of the building leaves much to be desired. For several years it has been under reconstruction, but so far all that has been done for passengers is more convenient aprons for landing.
There are several ways to get to the bus station from the main railway station of the city.
By city bus or minibus, a trip outside rush hour will take only 20 minutes. This is the most convenient way, but do not choose it in case of high traffic.
By metro to Rechnoy Vokzal station, from there by bus there is only one stop. This method is a little longer, but is suitable if there are traffic jams in the city.
The fastest way, but the most unpopular, is to go to the Novosibirsk Glavny train station, catch a commuter train and drive just one station to the Centre or Right Ob platforms. They are located directly opposite the entrance to the bus station building.

River Station
He is rarely mentioned when listing Novosibirsk stations. The river is still an important transport hub and one of the attractions of the city.
It is here that the oldest bridge, linking the two shores of Novosibirsk , originates . By the way, there is also an unusual monument to the first bridge - its passage, left in memory of the past. The River Station itself is not so noticeable, but the embankment is good - it is long and wide, it offers long walks and to ride along the Ob on roller skates or a bicycle. There is also an amusement park and a large modern Ferris wheel. And in winter, the River Station is decorated with a large ice town.
As for the main destination of the station, during the navigation season there are motor ships and ferries to nearby villages and islands. Naturally, you can take a pleasant river trip on a tourist boat or buy a tour of the Ob.
