The more expensive the thing, the more it needs to be preserved. However, there are cases that are impossible to predict. Even with careful wearing of natural fur products, incidents happen that lead to the need to repair fur coats.

The places where the mink coat is most often torn are the back seam and sleeves. This is the most difficult option for finishing work. For these purposes, do not use scissors that will only spoil the fleecy part of the patch. When repairing a mink coat, one more problem can be encountered - sleeve repair. To sew it up, a difficult task remains to be done - to tear off the side stitch and lining material. The armhole is cut off so that you can see the real size of the gap and its edge. If the fur exploded evenly, it will not be difficult to sew it up on your own, making a patch that is suitable in size.
Bridging small gaps
The sleeve area is difficult to repair, it is complicated by the fact that it is necessary to choose high-quality fur for insertion and carefully sew it on. You can buy it in the studio, but if you plan to remodel your fur coat, as an alternative, use pieces of the remaining fur for repair. If the hole under the armpit is small, you can use special glue and glue the gap. For these purposes, rubber glue, which includes rubber, is ideal. Torn edges are pulled together using thread and a needle, after which a piece of gauze is glued to the place of the gap. This is a reliable way to fix the seam without damaging the appearance of the fur. If the fur coat is repaired correctly, that is, the edges were perfectly fitted end-to-end, the product will look without visual defects.
Fur coat repair along the sleeve length is rarely performed due to rare cases of product rupture in these places. Basically, it breaks under the arm.
Repair with liquid skin
There is another good way to repair a fur coat yourself using a specially designed composition. For this, “liquid skin” is used, a substance that hardens when exposed to an oxygen environment. You can use a mink coat 24 hours after the repair work. This product is produced in different colors so that you can easily pick it up in accordance with the color of the product. The composition can mask the traces of redrawn and reshaped loops, lapels. Before the procedure, the edges are carefully pulled together and leveled by a press; they must be degreased beforehand.
Minor repair of a fur coat at the seam
Valuable fur must be properly stored and inspected before purchase. Frequent cases of rupture along the seam should be stitched with thick thick threads, try to turn the fur pile outward so that the seam is not visible. Pass all stitching stitches with the needle by hand, and also to protrude over the edges in the future to prevent the seams from spreading.
When using a sewing machine, repairs are carried out with the line "goat", and the overlocking method of sewing is also well suited.
