There is an amazing children's railway in Tatarstan. Kazan, where she is located, opened it with the aim of training qualified personnel. There is a railway since August 2007. It is located on the territory of the Lebyazhye forest park zone.
History of the opening of the road
A proposal for the construction of a children's railway in Kazan came from Russian Railways in early 2004. The project was planned to coincide with the 1000th anniversary of the capital of Tatarstan. Until 2005, a place was chosen. There were two options: in the Gorky park or near Lake Lebyazhye.
In March 2005, the preparation of project documentation began. The deadline for putting the facility into operation was set for 2006. Then the date changed to 2007. It was planned to manufacture five passenger trains and three diesel locomotives, of which one was supposed to be a battery electric locomotive.
In the fall of 2006, preparatory work for laying railway tracks began. It was planned children's railway (Kazan) in Yudino and then in his career. But local residents opposed such a route, so the deadlines for the final commissioning of the facility were somewhat delayed.
As a result, the Kazan Children's Railway (address: 4 A, Altynova Street) was opened only on August 30, 2007. The event was held in a festive atmosphere. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of Tatarstan, the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation and other officials.
Goals and objectives of the opening of the children's railway
The Children's Railway (Kazan) was built for the pre-vocational training of future skilled workers. The purpose of creating the object is to create the necessary conditions for adolescents for self-determination. Thanks to joining the railway business, students develop communicative, creative and organizational abilities. This is facilitated by the joint activities of adolescents.
As a result, they become interested in a future profession. Students receive not only theoretical knowledge in many specialties, but also their consolidation in practice. At the same time, there is an upbringing of collectivism, accuracy, responsibility and good faith in adolescents.
Road description
Four kilometers of tracks were laid for the Railways and two terminal (Youth (or Yashlek) and Emerald) and intermediate (Sportivnaya and Birch groves) stations were built. On the main (one of the closing) station was a two-story station with a three-depot depot and a training building. The dimensions of the facility allowed the storage of all rolling stock. A 4-point hoist and a crane crane were installed in the workshop.
A three-story building was equipped with a dormitory for students on railway workers who came to practice from other cities in the summer. A buffet and a canteen for workers were opened at the station. A large parking lot is equipped at the forecourt.
The Children's Railway (Kazan) has terminal stations, one of which is called the Emerald. Only a one-story building is built on it, in which there is a cash room. At intermediate stops of the train capital construction is not provided. Only blue plastic canopies are installed. All buildings of the Railways have intricate architecture with blue and mirrored glass and ceramic wall cladding.
The route starts from the village of Zalesnoy and ends with the beach of the Yudinsky quarry. The route of the train lies in a picturesque pine green zone. The narrow gauge railway is equipped with turnouts, modern equipment and two crossings. During the train, traffic lights, safety devices, communications and alarms are used. There are also self-locking and centralization systems.
Station at the station Youth is designed for 25 people. The building has a ticket office, a small cafe and an electric power station. From it comes the management of the railway. The train is called the Rainbow. It moves at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour. The total capacity of passenger cars is 157 people.
Training
Children's Railway (Kazan) has an administrative and educational building. It is equipped with classes for studying railway specialties:
- locomotives;
- carriages;
- movers;
- the trainers.
And also in the educational building they train specialists of farms:
- passenger
- signaling;
- blocking and centralization;
- communication.
In the educational building for students and teachers equipped with a dining room for 36 seats and a sports hall. The hostel has double rooms, which have all the necessary amenities for students who come to study and practice from other cities.
The academic year is from October to March. Theory is taught only once a week. In June, practice begins. Education is free and lasts three years. For nonresident students there are special conditions. A set of training groups is carried out from students in grades 4-7 of secondary schools and gymnasiums of Kazan and other cities of Tatarstan. After training, graduates receive certificates of completion of a three-year profile course.
