The inverter motor is not today the most advanced in household appliances. Known so-called linear unit, which can also be attributed to the piston. However, there is no engine or crankshaft in it. The piston is located in an electric magnetic coil and begins to move when current flows. At the same time, much less electric energy is required, the efficiency is significantly increased, and refrigeration equipment is even quieter than with an inverter unit.

An inverter is useful for this type of technique, since maintaining a constant temperature without working at the limit is a really important indicator. In another technique, for example, if an inverter motor is installed in a washing machine, this may not be as significant as for a refrigerator.
