The nature of Bashkortostan is rich and diverse. About twelve thousand rivers flow in this country. The republic is called the lake pearl of Russia. One of the most beautiful corners of the republic of Bashkortostan is located near the capital, in the Nurimanov district. It is here, near the village of Nimislyarovo, that there is the purest Lake Upkan, and the recreation center "Upkan" is located nearby.
A bit about the lake
In the “Komsomolki” rating, Lake “Upkan” received the title “The Nut Lake”. The reservoir has the shape of a horseshoe and is the old woman of the Ufimka River. It is here that a unique watermelon Chillim grows (more precisely, just two of its species). Floating on the surface, at the end of summer this plant drops ripe nuts into the water, which are valued no less than ginseng. The lake has a total length of 2.5 km. It is framed by deciduous forests. Since 1965, the lake has been recognized as a hydrological natural monument.
How it all started
And it's just a paradise for fishermen. Here you can catch pike, perch, whitefish, roach, burbot, crucian gold and silver, rudd. For this reason, in the sixties of the last century, the flagship of the Russian motor industry - OJSC “Ufa Engine-Building Production Association” - built a holiday complex.
After the overhaul, the Upkan recreation center was given to the UMPO youth union. And now, after working days, there is gaining strength, competing, conducting festivals a young shift. In this place motorists hold informal congresses, competitions - fishing and hunting enthusiasts, the military-patriotic camp "Yuldash" is functioning, and young people are simply resting actively. UMPO youth festivals are held here, seminars are regularly held for young activists of the workshops and departments of the association, and in the summer one race is given to children.

Consider the living conditions. After a major overhaul, Upkan Recreation Center hosts guests all year. For a good time, it is preferable to book rooms in advance. On the territory of the base there are four large comfortable buildings that can accommodate up to 47 people at a time in the warm season. In the summer, you can use the kitchen in a separate area where there is a place for barbecue facilities, a roomy table for a large warm company, hot and cold water.
In the winter season, the recreation center "Upkan", the photo of which is located above, provides a wonderful skating rink, skiing, snowmobiling. In bad weather, you can relax in the games room with tennis tables and tabletop American football. A large bathhouse is open all year, from which you can go down a straight path directly to the lake.

The easiest way is to go from Ufa in the direction of Iglino, and then move along the road to the Pavlovsk reservoir to the village of Nimislyarovo. You need to drive through the village right to Upkankul Lake. From Ufa to the recreation center about 60 km.
