The metro station "Proletarskaya" has been known to Muscovites and guests of the capital since 1967. On the last day before the onset of this year, it was put into operation as part of the launch site of the Zhdanov-Krasnopresnenskaya line. She got her name in accordance with the name of the Moscow region and, unlike the latter, retains it to this day. The Proletarskaya metro station is located between the Taganskaya-radial and Volgogradsky Prospekt stations. And since 1997, it has been part of the interchange hub connecting it with the Lublin-Dmitrov line.

The only remarkable point in the engineering solution of the station is the fact that it has as many as three underground vestibules. Two are located in the end parts of the main hall, and the third appeared later, after the Proletarskaya metro station became a transfer station. It is located in the center and is combined with the station "Peasant Outpost". By its constructive type, “Proletarskaya” is a column of a three-span shallow station.
Station architecture
In architectural terms, it does not represent anything significant. It is based on a project that has become standard. The vault is supported by two rows of columns of forty pieces each. Architects on professional slang jokingly call such a design a “centipede”. This can be considered a legacy of the period known as the "struggle with architectural excesses." There are many similar manifestations of voluntaristic decisions of the Khrushchev era in the modern metro map. "Proletarskaya" is no exception, there are a lot of similar unexpressive stations in Moscow, and in other cities too.
The only undoubted advantage of such structures is the presence of a large free space, there is nothing to hinder passengers throughout the platform. But the decoration in the interior of the station is still present. The columns are decorated with light marble, and the floor is composed of several varieties of granite. The decoration of the track walls has recently been replaced with decorative aluminum panels; they look more expressive than the standard ceramic tiles that were here earlier. This had a positive effect on the appearance of the station.
How to get to the metro station "Proletarskaya"
The station is located at a rather brisk intersection of the capital, not far from Volgogradsky Prospekt. Exits from its vestibules lead to the Krestyanskaya Zastava square and Vorontsovskaya street. And besides, in the 3rd Krutitsky lane and to the 1st Dubrovinsky street. This is a densely populated housing estate. And besides residential complexes in this area there are many commercial structures and administrative institutions.
