"Imereti resort" traditionally serves as the starting point of most excursions, the route of which runs through the Olympic village and ends in Krasnaya Polyana. The most comfortable and fastest way to get to these parts is to use suburban communications. Electric trains "Swallow" regularly arrive from Tuapse and Krasnodar. Station "Olympic Park" also serves the Abkhaz direction. It is located in the Imereti Lowland, which stretches between the waters of the Black Sea and mountain rivers. Along the channel Psou runs the national border of Russia.
Caring for the environment
Immediately after commissioning, the station received BREEM certification, which confirms its compliance with "green" standards. This is one of the six major passenger facilities of Russian Railways OJSC located in the resort part of Greater Sochi.
It is located on the territory of the Adler municipal district. Station "Olympic Park" is connected to sports facilities and recreational areas of the region by highway M-27. During the influx of tourists, a public transport stop is located next to the passenger terminal .
Bandwidth and Directions
The maximum allowable load on the station is 8,500 people per hour. The halls of distant, local and suburban communication are able to accommodate up to 2,500 travelers at a time. Thanks to the thoughtful organization of exit from the platforms, the accumulation of an excessive number of people in close proximity to trains is eliminated. In the process of construction, the aprons were expanded, which allowed to place additional escalators and roofing frames.
At the construction stage, the Olympic Park station underwent a series of changes that suggest the possibility of operating aprons designed for trains as platforms for receiving suburban trains. The infrastructure of the facility is waiting rooms, cash registers, information terminals, a communications department, retail outlets and catering outlets.

Interior decoration and exterior
Station "Olympic Park" was commissioned in 2014. It was conceived as the main transport hub of the alpine region. It was supposed to serve the transit of passengers traveling to the main sports, ski and resort facilities of the coast.
The architectural concept of the building was created by a team of engineers from Studio 44 and Tekton LLC. Maria Vinogradova, Andrey Krivonosov, Nikita Yavein, Irina Lyashko, Vladimir Turchevsky, Evgenia Kuptsova and other designers took part in its development. Almost all the elements of the construction were erected by the NGO Mostovik, which acted as the general contractor.
Olympic Park is the station that has become Sochi’s hallmark. A year ago, it was renamed the "Imereti resort." At the same time, the station was left with its previous name. Today it has four universal platforms serving seven railways. The main exit leads to Caspian Street and sports stadiums.
Station and train station "Olympic Park" designed in a modern high-tech style, which is characterized by the use of an abundance of metal, glass and concrete. Energy saving is ensured by the use of special shading lamellas and windows, which help reduce electricity consumption.
In the immediate vicinity of the building, palm trees are planted, a series of which stretches right up to the Black Sea coast. In the waiting rooms there are thematic exhibitions and informational displays.
The Olympic Park passenger station (Sochi) is decorated with functional architectural structures in the form of stairs with many spans, overpasses and a fountain complex that accompanies the passage to the amusement park, Iceberg, Fisht, Ice Cube, Puck stadiums and the track on which competitions are held within the framework of Formula 1. “Olympic Park” is a station that occupies a niche of an important transit point on the way of tourists to the settlements of Abkhazia and to Esto-Sadok. The village attracts visitors with a mass of extreme entertainment. Here, high in the mountains, is the famous Rosa Khutor ski resort.
