Origin of the lake
Zerkalnoe Lake is of glacial origin and is located in the water system of the Wieliczka River, not far from the lakes Krasnogvardeiskoe and Podgornoe. The lake is 4 km long and 1 km wide. The lake has a deep water, the maximum depth is 16 meters. The lake has the shape of an elongated drop. In the southeast of the lake are two islands. Locals are used to calling them Razluki Island and the Island of Love, and the geographical name of the islands is Big and Small.
How to get to the lake?
There are two ways to get to the Mirror Lake. The first way is to go by car along the Primorsky highway to the village of Zelenaya Roscha, from there turn right and go towards the railway station of Yappilya. There are convenient porches on the south side of the lake. The second method is to take a train from St. Petersburg to Zelenogorsk, then transfer to a train and get off at Yappilya station. Already from this station to the lake will remain 2 km on foot.
Where did the lake get its name from?
Crystal clear water and gave the name to this lake. Even at a depth of about 10 m, visibility is good and scuba divers do not even need a flashlight.
