History
The Voronezh Fire Institute of the Ministry of Emergencies opened its doors in 1967. But then this institution was called the training detachment of fire fighting activities. The following year, 2 groups of students were recruited. In one of them, fire inspectors and trainers were trained, and in the other, commanders.
A few years later, not far from the unit, two new buildings were built, the groups were transferred to them. Now the institution has received the name "School for the training of junior and middle managers." After 10 years, the School was renamed the Training Center. In 1993, a school was created on the basis of the center, and in 2008 the institution acquired the status of a university of the Ministry of Emergencies. Voronezh Institute immediately gained popularity.
Basic information
The institute provides training in 3 main areas:
- "Security of fire systems." At the end of five years of study at the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist." Training is conducted in full-time.
- "Security of fire systems." At the end of six years of study at the institution, the student receives the title of "specialist." Training is conducted in absentia.
- “Fire safety” - the qualification category “technician” is assigned. Students master this qualification after graduating from 11 classes of high school, a category is assigned after 3 years 10 months.
Training takes place in the target area, funds are allocated from the state budget.
But also the government allows students to be trained under the contract in the Ministry of Emergencies. Voronezh Institute is no exception. In this case, training is conducted in 4 areas:

- “Technosphere Security” is a four-year undergraduate full-time course.

Also, the Master of the Ministry of Emergencies is very much appreciated now. The Voronezh Institute provides for this type of training, although so far there is only one direction:
- "Technosphere security." After graduating from the bachelor's program, students can enter the magistracy for two years of study in correspondence.
Information for applicants
In order to be trained in this institution, you need to successfully pass the exam in 3 subjects: specialized mathematics, physics and the Russian language. Also, when submitting documents, an entrance exam in mathematics is additionally written and physical culture tests are conducted.
You must also first contact the local department of the Ministry of Emergencies in order to file a personal file that the department will have to send to the university of the Ministry of Emergencies (Voronezh Institute in this case) before a certain date.
The hostel is provided only for students studying on a budgetary basis, for other categories it is not provided. An exception is correspondence students studying on a budgetary basis at the time of the session.
