For most tourists from Europe, Kemer is their favorite Turkish resort. Goynuk is a village located 7 km from its more popular neighbor and 45 km from Antalya. This place has been known for many centuries, since it was here that the Libyan path passed, uniting the ancient powerful cities. The tourism business in the village began to develop at the end of the 90s of the last century, it was then that hotels of different standards were erected that meet international standards. The highway leading from Goynuk to Antalya, as well as the immediate proximity of Kemer contributed to the popularity of the new resort. Not only Turks, but also foreign guests come here to relax.
The developed infrastructure, numerous entertainments attracts Kemer. Goynuk is a calmer resort, couples with children, elderly people and those tourists who willingly exchange noisy places for peace and quiet in the lap of nature will feel comfortable here. The village has such attractions as Mount Tahtali, you can also go to the ancient city of Phaselis. A lot of interesting buildings have been preserved here: Roman baths, a city cemetery and square, an aqueduct, a theater. According to history, the city used to be one of the main shopping centers of Lycia.
Some vacationers in the variety of landscapes are not satisfied with Kemer. Goynuk is visited by travelers even from nearby popular resorts. Much attention is drawn to
Takhtaly Mountain, whose height is 2365 m. You can climb it yourself, or you can use the
cable car. From the top a wonderful view opens from Finike to Side. Clouds often accumulate around Tahtala, representing a delightful sight.
Kemer can discover many beautiful places for guests. Goynuk also does not remain indebted to travelers, here you can visit a very picturesque corner - Paradise Bay. Rocky hummocks scattered all over the coast are the result of the sea’s struggle with land. The bay is notable for the presence in the water of microorganisms having a soft glow.
For serious shopping, it is best to go to Kemer. Goynuk (photos of goods on the market cause a desire to purchase them immediately) also has many shops and retail stores. Here you can buy jewelry, leather, spices, sweets. The variety of goods is large, but you can’t count on low prices. Traders understand Russian and speak acceptable language, so there will be no communication problems. For a
beach holiday, it is recommended to go to Goynuk from May to October. According to climatic conditions, the village is very similar to Kemer.
