Prague. Map of Prague and division into districts.

On the banks of the Vltava River, the city of Prague is located. The map of Prague is divided into two parts by the Vltava. The capital of the Czech Republic is one of the oldest cities in Europe. This is a place worth visiting. A lot of attractions are concentrated in it, and once here, tourists feel like in a medieval fairy tale. The city is located on nine hills, for which it was nicknamed the second Rome.

Beer, medieval towers and bridges, a huge number of museums - all this is Prague. A map of Prague is available to buyers in all tourist information centers and hotels.

In general, this is a beautiful metropolis, and everyone can find something of their own in it, not only in the center, but also in more remote areas.

Administratively, the city is divided into 22 districts. Each carries his own number, for example: "Prague-1", "Prague-2", "Prague-3" and so on until "Prague-22". The smaller the room, the closer it is to the city center. The map of Prague's districts is easy to read: first we look for a room, orienting approximately relative to the center, then on to the street.

Looking at the areas, they can be divided into sleeping, business and cultural-historical. Thanks to the central part, Prague is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The central part administratively includes the districts with serial numbers 1, 2, 3. The map of the sights of Prague, which is usually issued to tourists in tourist information offices, usually covers this territory.

If you do not take into account the sleeping and industrial areas of Prague, an attractive area for renting a hotel or accommodation by tourists is limited to areas 1-10. Areas 11-22 are far from the city, the transfer to the main attractions of the city is difficult, the journey takes 40 minutes or more, which can negatively affect the impressions of the city.

This is the most tourist area of the capital. The most expensive and fashionable hotels are located here. All infrastructure is focused on tourists.

The district itself is divided as follows:

  • Mala Strana is located on the left bank of the Vltava. One of the oldest parts of the city. Here are the embassies of many countries, as well as the island of Kampa, the Church of Mikulas and the funicular.
  • Stare Miasto is a leader in the concentration of attractions per square meter. Here are located: Karluv Most ( Charles Bridge ), Old Town Square.
  • Hradcany - territorially refers to counties 1 and 6. It is known for the Prague Castle. Looking at the Hradcany district from the Charles Bridge, you can observe the panorama with which Prague is associated. A map of Prague indicates that there is also the largest church in the city - St. Vitus Cathedral.
  • Nowe Miasto is the right-bank part, so called because it was completed later than the left-bank, namely in the XIV century, during the time of Charles IV. Places worth visiting include Wenceslas Square, Republic Square , the National Museum and Theater.

The area is a ten-minute walk from MΕ―stek Metro Station, the central station in the first district. The mid-price segment for real estate is suitable for budget travelers and people who need quick access to the center, but do not need crowds of tourists and their noise under the windows. Among the attractions include Peace Square and the main train station.

The area continuing Vinogradari is a bit farther from the center, but also more affordable in terms of price. Of the sights, it is worth noting the TV tower, which can safely be called a work of modern art. The television tower has an observation deck with a permanent exhibition of art installations, which is definitely worth a visit.

They can be attributed to sleeping, but at the same time they are adjacent to the central ones, and we can say that they have quite comfortable housing at lower prices. A clear advantage will be the silence and comfort of the streets.
