Kiev is an incredibly beautiful city, which is located on the banks of the mighty Dnieper. Beautiful architecture, unique flavor, kind and helpful people and wonderful corners of nature among tall high-rise buildings and industrial buildings. Green islands are scattered throughout the ancient settlement: they are pleasing to the eye, striking in their unique architecture and attract numerous visitors. Kiev parks are real works of art, the construction of which was timed to coincide with many important events in the fate of Ukraine.
Peoples' Friendship Park - a city in the city
It is no exaggeration to call this natural complex a real city that spans a vast territory between the left and right banks of Kiev. The islet of wildlife was laid in 1972 on the island of Trukhanov, it became part of the Dnepropetrovsk park. A little later, the island of Muromets was included in the complex and the total area of this reserved corner was almost 780 hectares. The vast expanses that the people of Kiev loved so much were given the symbolic name "Peoples' Friendship Park." For many centuries Kiev was different from other cities in the grandeur and unusualness of various structures. This complex has been attracting many years for its size and unique landscapes. An excellent overview, which opens from the park area, attracts tourists from all over the city. It is divided into several parts:

- water sports part;
- memorial monument (ground floor garden).
In the process of laying the park, nearly 15 hectares of various plants were planted, which was to symbolize the unbreakable friendship between all the republics of the former USSR. Many parks in Kiev were built in order to recall important events in the history of the state.

Glory Park
Wonderful nature, a unique panorama of the left bank, monuments, an obelisk that reaches a height of 27 m and, of course, the Eternal Flame are the main attractions of the park. This is a living reminder to each person about the feat and courage of the defenders of the homeland during the Great Patriotic War. The memorial is an alley with the names of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of a free people, majestic Kiev always honors their names. The Glory Park attracts and enchants its visitors with a unique panorama: the banks of the Dnieper are buried in greenery, and the gold of the Lavra temples is dazzling with its splendor. A bit of history
The natural complex was founded in 1894, then it bore the name of commandant Anosov. It was this man who raised money for its construction. But the fate of the park is rather complicated - it lasted for a short 5 years and fell into decay, was abandoned. Kievans held concerts here, then broke a cemetery, but nature made its own adjustments. A powerful landslide destroyed this complex. But already in 1957, a memorial of Eternal Glory was opened on this place - on May 9, thousands of people flock here to honor the memory of the fallen heroes. You can visit the Holodomor Museum, where you will discover the long-suffering history of the Stalin era.
One of the most successful viewing platforms in Kiev is located in this park: stock up with powerful binoculars - and you will have an amazing view of the left bank of the city.
Victory Park
In the distant 1965, this park was born, but in 2004 it underwent many changes, and now you can see a beautiful picture that amazes with its grandeur and beauty. The complex is a real symbol of history, which will tell about the glorious exploits of the heroes who defended the country from fascist invaders. In the park you will see a memorial that tells about the main stages of the Great Patriotic War, get acquainted with the monument dedicated to the partisans who gave their lives in the defense of the city. Victory Park has become a haven for the memorial, for the creation of which the earth was brought from many corners of the earth where valiant Ukrainian soldiers fought.
But do not assume that in this corner of nature there is nothing more to admire: two wonderful lakes where ducks and swans live, graceful walking bridges, a stone park and many other attractions will appeal to every visitor.

Park "Feofania"

In addition, this complex boasts a real miracle - there is a pilgrimage trail here that will lead you to the unique source of “Tears of the Mother of God”. It is considered healing and eliminates the most serious diseases. Nearby you can see another source - a pit, the edges of which are framed by a tree. The water here is very cold - only +8 in summer, but in winter it does not freeze.
But “Feofania” is not only a recreation park, here once a majestic temple was laid here, which was completely destroyed during World War II. But in our time it is actively recovering, attracting not only believers, but also numerous tourists.
The park received the status of a monument in 1972, and in 1992 it was declared a conservation farm.
Partisan Glory Park
Another monument to the greatness of the city can be called Partisan Glory Park. Kiev invites everyone to a cozy and very beautiful natural complex, which will become a favorite vacation spot. The main attraction of the complex can be called the Museum of Partisan Glory, near which an amphitheater was built for meetings of heroes and war veterans. There really is something to see: a partisan arsenal, real dugouts, partisan fire and much more, monuments will immerse you in the gallant times of heroes.
But in addition to an excursion into history, you can have a good rest in the park: entertainment programs, a wonderful forest, an amusement town, a decorative pool, a cinema, forest lakes.
Note that the park was divided on the basis of the existing pine forest. The total area of the farm is 111.97 ha. On such a vast territory, different types of park landscape are represented: meadow, forest, garden, park, lake.
Rope park
But for real extreme sports and outdoor enthusiasts, this park was built. A unique place is part of the Partisan Glory Park. Here you can have a great time, feel like a conqueror of the peaks and revive the ancient instinct for the conquest of nature! Shevchenko park
Kiev parks are very diverse, have different infrastructure and boast all kinds of entertainment. But one of the most comfortable complexes, perhaps, can be called Shevchenko Park. Kiev has created a real masterpiece: despite its small size, this corner of nature has become a favorite vacation spot for citizens. The history of its creation is very interesting: it is located near the university, and when the institution was visited by the emperor of Brazil Don Pedro, he was horrified that such an unsightly wasteland, on which cows grazed, flaunted near the main entrance of the institution. And so this square came into being, which was laid back in 1890.
The famous gardener Karl Christian very skillfully approached the arrangement of space. He was able to create a park that harmoniously connected with the botanical garden and emphasized the greatness of the university. Two alleys merged into a duet in the center of the park, and in 1896 a monument to Nicholas the First was erected here. Walking paths were decorated with sculptures made of white stone, they delighted the eye with their purity and grace. But in 1920, the Soviet government considered them a hotbed of vulgarity and destroyed.
And only in 1939 a monument was erected here to the great writer Taras Shevchenko.
The main attraction is a unique fountain in the form of the Black Sea. The park has become a favorite place for amateurs, real tournaments are unfolding here.
