To make a simple soft pelmet without additional decorative components (swag, peroxide and de jabot), use the following technology:
- Perform the necessary calculations. The height of the lambrequin is taken with allowance for seams, the width corresponds to the size of the cornice with the assembly coefficient. With light folds, it is usually 1.5. In the case of a large assembly, the value is taken from 2.5 and higher. Pay attention to how the drawing on the lambrequin will be located.
- Cut out the rectangle of the desired size from the fabric.
- Work the edges.
- Sew the curtain tape onto the top.
- Decorate the bottom with braid, cord, fringe.
- Assemble by stretching the corresponding threads of the curtain tape.
- Hang the pelmet on the ledge.
If you want to make oncoming, bow folds, and not one-sided, you will have to perform more complex calculations, as well as manually lay the folds on an assembly stick.
