Expocenter has become a member of the main World Peace Organization since 1975. Reconstruction
The age of the exhibition center is solid, but progress does not stand still, and in 2007 the reconstruction of the building was completed. He was prepared to work in new conditions. Expocenter (Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya nab., 14) was replenished with Pavilion 8, and this happened at its own expense (without attracting loans). It meets all the most modern world requirements, which made it possible to re-form the entire territory of the exhibition.
Prospects
In the near future, the exhibition center is planning to increase. At the city of Moscow, Krasnopresnenskaya nab., 14, they are going to finish building another 10,000 square meters of exhibition space. A total of 160 thousand square meters will be involved. m. Also, the completion of the new multi-functional building with fifteen floors, located on the border of the park. The four lower floors will be given for service and exhibition facilities.
The upper two will have an observation deck and a restaurant, the rest will be occupied by offices. In the complex, in the northern part, it is planned to build another pavilion with an area of 20,000 m2 and a congress center with a meeting room and an administrative and engineering building. Krasnaya Presnya will only develop.
Other exhibition centers in Moscow
There are actually a lot of them. Not only the "Expocenter" organizes the exhibition. In the capital of Russia there are many other exhibition centers. Now we will tell you about the most famous about them. One of the largest in Moscow is the All-Russian Exhibition Center - the largest site in our country. It has an area of 238 hectares, more than 300 fairs and exhibitions are held here annually, of which 40 are international. Every year, at least 12 million people visit the All-Russian Exhibition Center. Another similar object is on Sokolniki, it is located near the metro station of the same name. It has 14 pavilions, their total area is 28,000 m 2 .
The center was built for international and national exhibitions in the 60s. Today, Sokolniki is the largest exhibition complex in Russia, which consists of many modern pavilions. The central house of the artist, having an area of 8,300 m2 and consisting of 27 halls, is a very popular museum in the capital. It was built according to the design of Giacomo Quarenghi in the 18th century, and reconstructed in 2000 by the government of the capital. The inner hall is simply huge - 13,000 square meters, a transparent dome and two-tier arches are used as a concert and exhibition venue.
Crocus Expo Exhibition Center was opened in 2004, on March 18. It is built to the highest architectural standards, designed for large exhibitions with the participation of foreign and Russian companies. The area of its pavilions is 230,000 square meters.
