Basic clothing for the image
The basis of the costume will be a set of black clothes. Choose plain and simple things. It is best if it is a
long-sleeve T-shirt and pants / leggings. For the girl, you can choose a skirt. Shoes are also better to choose dark shades, this also applies to other accessories. What are we going to make a bat costume from? All you need is a piece of black fabric, preferably with non-shedding edges. If at hand there is a broken umbrella of the desired color, just remove the fabric cover from the knitting needles and make a hole for the head - the wings are ready. Bat Wings: Option One
To create a costume you don’t have to make a pattern. Measure the required amount of tissue, for this, ask the “model” to spread its arms to the sides and measure the distance from one wrist to the other. You’ve got a “wingspan”. You can determine the maximum length by dividing the resulting value by 2. Then you just have to cut the edge trim on the wings symmetrically. Finished wings need to be sewn to a t-shirt. If you want to make a rigid frame, make two identical parts. After that, sew them together by inserting bones from a wire for rigidity.
Bat Wings: Option Two
For this option of manufacturing a spectacular accessory, it is better to take a stretching fabric. The bat costume for this pattern is sewn on the basis of two measurements. The length of the fabric is, as in the first version, the distance from the wrist to the wrist (arms are spread out to the sides at shoulder level), and the width is from the back of the head to the waist, plus half the girth of the widest part of the arm. Fold the fabric in half in the length direction (this value has decreased). In the resulting corner, cut the neck. The bat costume for Halloween is almost done. How to complement a bat costume?

But, if you complement the costume with interesting details, the image will turn out more vivid. Make ears - from fabric reinforced with cardboard or wire frame. It is most convenient to fix them on the head by sewing on an ordinary thin black hoop. Ears can also be sewn to regular linen elastic. What do bat ears look like? Remember the Batman movie: these are fairly narrow elongated triangles at the base. If you know how to sew well enough - try to make a mask covering your face, except for the eyes.
