Two years have passed since the mass opposition demonstrations in Syria escalated into armed conflict. The civil war in Syria divided the country into two camps. On the one hand, there are federal government troops supporting the current regime of Bashar al-Assad, and gangs of revolutionary militants seeking to overthrow this regime. Opposition forces are composed of armed groups of NATO countries and Arabs. Some of which work closely with terrorist groups such as Al-Qaida and the Al-Nusra Front. Government troops are supported by the Russian Federation and Iran. Despite all attempts to resolve the conflict, the situation in Syria continues to heat up.
The civil war in Syria has already claimed the lives of more than 70 thousand people. The flow of refugees swept through Lebanon, Israel and Turkey, during the conflict more than a million citizens left the country. Events in Syria are reflected not only within the country itself, but throughout the world. Other states have already been drawn into the conflict. Assad's federal forces bombed Lebanon, motivating their actions by destroying the camps of mercenaries and militants who are training there.
One of the most “difficult” issues that caused the civil war in Syria is the supply of weapons to opponents. Bashar al-Assad receives assistance from Russia and Iran. The opposition is sponsored by Qatar, the UAE, Israel and
the NATO countries. Moreover, if the Western countries and the United States are limited to the supply of light, non-lethal weapons, then assistance from other countries does not end only with the supply of finances and weapons. A large number of mercenaries from various countries are fighting in militant units. Most of them are trained in the camps of Lebanon, Turkey, Qatar, under the guidance of American and Israeli instructors. Turkey decided to provide its territory for the installation of the American Patriot missile system. This decision will lead to the fact that the aircraft of the Syrian army will no longer be able to control the north of the country.
Arms deliveries to “hot spots” are heating up the situation. Firstly, this leads to an increase in the volume of contraband of the delivered weapons, and now it can be in the territory of any other state. Secondly, the civil war in Syria does not stop even for a minute, the arms depots pass from hand to hand, which means that militants delivered by Russia may be in the hands of.
The Syrian civil war is also a battle between two religious Muslim movements of the
Sunnis and Shiites. More radical Sunni revolutionaries are sent to Syria to conduct jihad, march against the "infidels", Shiites, most of whom serve in the army of Assad Bashar.
