Materials

Corrugated paper facing does not require serious financial investments. You need to get paper, PVA glue. You will also need a rod from an ordinary pen, cardboard for decorating postcards, scissors and clippings from magazines.

We perform paper cutting

1. First, cut the corrugated paper into squares, each side of which will be 1 centimeter.

2. Draw a pattern on the blank for the card. For a birthday, you can use drawings of flowers, for a New Year's card, images of a Christmas tree or branches are suitable.

3. Apply a little glue to a small area of the future pattern. Put the blunt end of the rod from the handle in the center of one small square, crush the paper and roll the rod between your fingers. This will be a blank for one trimming pipe. Now the part can be glued to the card, putting it on the glue. It remains to remove the rod.

4. This procedure should be repeated many times, gluing each new trimming next to the previous part until the whole picture is filled. Each new element should be placed tightly to the adjacent one so that there is no gap.

5. Now it remains to complete the work on the postcard by pasting funny photographs or clippings from magazines, and write a congratulation.

We do crafts with children

Corrugating paper is a time-consuming process, but the result will be impressive. Try different technical options. For example, trimming can be laid out only along the contour or fill them with the entire background of the picture. In the second case, you get a beautiful fluffy rug. Work on the card can be turned into a fun game. For example, you can divide the field of a postcard into squares and give each member of the family the task to fill out their part according to the sketch. This will create an original collaboration.
