The city of Novorossiysk is not at all associated with us with a resort and a beach holiday destination. Despite the fact that it stands on the Black Sea, it is better known as a major port. As for the climate, the Russians are more familiar with the expression “Novorossiysk bora”, meaning cold gusty wind of enormous power, capable of turning ships over. About 250 thousand people live in the city . Novorossiysk, unlike Anapa, Gelendzhik and Sochi, is not at all focused on tourism. He lives his life. But this does not mean at all that the tourist infrastructure is completely absent in the city. Just more conditions for relaxation you will find on the outskirts. The resorts of Novorossiysk are known mainly to local residents. This has its advantages, and in this article we will talk about them. Resorts of Novorossiysk: pros and cons
The first thing that comes to mind is transport accessibility. Following the Caucasian Black Sea resorts in their car, tourists drive through Novorossiysk. Why not make his neighborhood the finishing point of his journey? Novorossiysk is an important transport hub. Here planes land at the local airport, trains from different parts of Russia arrive here. The resorts of Novorossiysk have the specifics that they are ideal for a calm and measured family vacation. There is no stormy nightlife in small towns. Does the soul crave drive? Take a minibus and go to the city. There you will find it in full. In climatic terms, Novorossiysk has hotter and drier summers than the southern resorts of the Krasnodar Territory. But the tourist season here lasts less. The best time to relax near Novorossiysk is the summer months. The velvet season can ruin the notorious bora. Local resorts have one indisputable advantage over Sochi, Anapa, Gelendzhik, etc. These are prices. They are much lower for everything: housing, fruits, cafes, food and entertainment.
Myskhako
The city of Novorossiysk itself lies on the shore of the Tsemess bay. You can be skeptical about the cleanliness of this water area. A large city and - most importantly - a powerful port contribute little to good ecology. But all the resorts of Novorossiysk are located outside the Tsemess bay. Even the closest to the city is Myskhako. Strictly speaking, this place is administratively a remote area of Novorossiysk. The city center is only six kilometers away. Some residents here have summer cottages, which are renting visitors. The beaches here are pebble and rather narrow. But there is no influx of people either, especially on weekdays. Here you can go diving and underwater fishing. But most of all, Myskhako is famous for its wines. The local factory is the official supplier of drinks to the Kremlin. In addition to tasting Myshak wines, tourists can take a sightseeing “train” to the picturesque Guam Gorge, go jipping to Mezmay waterfalls or visit the Death Valley memorial complex.
Wide beam
This is another resort near Novorossiysk. The city is 10 km from it. The village of Shirokaya Balka is famous for its wide pebble beach, which stretches for one and a half kilometers. This led to the construction of twenty recreation centers and pensions here. But there are plenty of offers from the private sector. In the center of the village, next to a well-maintained beach, it is always fun. There are discos, restaurants and cafes. If you want a more relaxing and quiet holiday, choose accommodation on the outskirts of the Wide Beam, in a mountain gorge. The beach offers all kinds of water activities, including yachting and helicopter rides. After a reckless night at a local club, you can clear karma by visiting the nearby Theodosius of the Caucasus Wasteland.
South Ozereyka
If you walk two kilometers along the coast in the direction from Novorossiysk, you will come to a luxurious, clean pebble beach. The village of South Ozereyka, unlike the Wide Beam and Myskhako, is located a little inland. It refers to those resorts of Novorossiysk, reviews of which report that only residents of the regional center have a rest in them. Therefore, prices here are more than low. At the budget resort, however, you will not be bored. There is a winery here, the products of which, as experts say, are not inferior in quality to what they produce in Myskhako. On the outskirts of South Ozereyki, the Russia complex is located where hippotherapy sessions are held for children with autism. And for all the rest, the actors - people and horses - show the costume show "Ancient Rome".
Durso
Many Russians probably heard this name in conjunction with Abrau. Two villages are located seven kilometers from each other. And between them are the famous vineyards that created Abrau-Durso's image of the “capital of Russian champagne”. The first village is located far from the sea, in the mountains, on the shores of a clean freshwater lake. Durso is located on the seashore. But this resort of Novorossiysk, whose photo is often taken from a bird's eye view, also has its own freshwater lake. This pond is separated from the sea by only thirty meters.
