The metro station "Alekseevskaya" of the Kaluga-Riga line is located on Mira Avenue - one of the central highways of the capital. Over its more than half-century history, it has changed its name several times. It entered into operation in 1958 under the name "World". This toponym echoed the name of the avenue, where its only lobby went. When in 1966 the interchange station on the Koltsevaya Line was renamed Prospekt Mira, I had to think about the fact that the name of the station (Mir), located just after two hauls, somehow looked a lot like it. To avoid confusion, the station received the name "Scherbakovskaya". Thus, the memory of a prominent figure of the Stalin era, who suddenly died in May 1945, was immortalized.
Its current name - the metro station "Alekseevskaya" - the station acquired in the autumn of 1990. It contains a reference to the historical designation of the Moscow region. Under this name, she is known to the modern generation of Muscovites and guests of the capital, often using the metro.
