Before you begin to identify what is different from the pressure cooker Multivarki, it should be noted their common objectives:
- facilitate the work in the kitchen;
- save a lot of time;
- keep useful elements in cooked food to the maximum.
The main difference between a slow cooker and a double boiler is that they prepare dishes using different technologies. You can consider what each of these units is. A double boiler is one of the items of electrical household appliances, which makes it possible to cook steamed food. It includes a set of the following elements: base, pallet, basket. The base acts as a basis in this device. It contains an
electric heater, as well as a water tank. There are usually several baskets; they are made in the form of plastic containers having a perforated bottom. They are installed on top of each other, and tightly closed with a lid on top. Condensation is collected in the pan. Different models have different number of pallets: either one common, or one for each basket.
To understand how a
steam cooker differs from a multicooker, it is worth considering what the second of the units consists of. It includes:
- case with heating element;
- the capacity in which cooking is done;
- built-in microprocessor;
- steam valve;
- the capacity in which cooking is steamed;
- a cover that closes tightly.
The principle of operation of each of the devices is another important point in resolving the issue of how the steam cooker differs from the multicooker. In the first device, the heat treatment of the products is carried out by means of steam. In it, you can either cook fresh food, or produce heated dishes. Some models may be equipped with blenders. The slow cooker allows you to cook food on the grill, fry, cook, stew or bake. Some models have a built-in mode for cooking pilaf, baking, and much more. In any multicooker there is an opportunity for cooking steam dishes.
If we talk about the difference between a double boiler and a slow cooker, then it is worth mentioning the presence in it of several containers with different purposes. That is, the user has the opportunity to cook several dishes at once. The multicooker comes with only one bowl, the volume of which is usually 2.5-4.5 liters, while you can only cook one dish at a time. The cooking process in both units is very slow, however the double boiler in this sense work a little faster. In terms of rated power, both of these devices are approximately the same, but a multicooker requires a little more power, since it takes longer to cook.
Slow cooker and double boiler: the difference
The advantages of the first unit are as follows: the availability of software control, multifunctionality. The double boiler, in turn, is also not without certain "positive qualities". It allows you to perform a number of tasks at the same time. Complete with different bowls allows you to cook dishes according to various recipes. Among the minuses of the multicooker, the cooking time and the inability to simultaneously cook several dishes are usually distinguished. A double boiler does not provide such wide opportunities in terms of an assortment of dishes.
