The largest in area and the most sparsely populated - Goloseevsky district of Kiev. It occupies the southern part of the city. Once there was a farm on the territory of which they founded a monastery with a park sown (planted) in a bare place. Hence the name. Goloseevsky is one of the greenest areas of the city. On its territory there are several parks (Goloseevsky, Feofania and others), a beekeeping museum, VDNH, a hippodrome, an ice palace, a stadium, a sports complex, a swimming pool, a dolphinarium, several large shopping centers ("Respublika", "Magellan", "Atmosphere"), three monasteries - St. Panteleimon, Holy Pokrovsky, Holy Trinity. The territory of the district is divided into more than two dozen housing estates, including Feofania, Demievka, Golosievo, Teremki, Pirogovo, University Campus, Kitaevo, Lysaya Gora and others. Metro stations - "Demievskaya", "Lybidskaya", "Vydubychi", "Leo Tolstoy Square", "Exhibition Center", "Hippodrome", "Olympic", "Palace" Ukraine "," Vasilkovskaya ".
