Transnistria is absent on the world map, since the republic is not recognized, and de jure is part of Moldova. And this is one of the many pages of the people who have been searching for their place in history for centuries.
Ancient long-suffering country
The remains of the oldest settlements of people in this territory are a million years old. Judging by the primitiveness of the stone processing method, the discoveries of archeology made in 2011-2012 can be attributed to the time of the disappearance of the Olduvai culture (originated about 2.7 million years ago, disappeared one million years ago).
In ancient times, these territories passed from hand to hand โ then the tyrants (a tribe that received its name in honor of the snow-white city of Tire, built on the Dniester Island), then the Pechenegs lived there. Later the lands were settled by Slavic tribes, which, in turn, were squeezed by nomadic Turks. Part of the territories at one time was even owned by Khan Ukraine.
Where is located on the map of Transnistria? It is located between Moldova and Ukraine. Transnistria at the cost of the lives of its citizens won the right to be an independent but unrecognized republic.
Borders changeable like the shape of the moon
Transnistria at different times was alternately and fragmentarily an integral part of more than 10 states and entities. Why did this happen? When answering this question, just remember where it is on the map of Transnistria. Not really in the center, but not in the backyards of Europe, which used to be called a quilt. The formation of the European Union does not change anything - it itself actively contributes to the fragmentation of large states. If we turn to the geographical concept of Europe, that is, take into account the territory to the Urals, then the self-proclaimed republic is almost in its center.
Gracious country
Where is located on the map of Transnistria? It stretched a long narrow strip from the southeast to northwest along the left bank of the Dniester, which flows into the Black Sea. The extreme southern point of the republic is sixty-seven kilometers from the sea, forty of which fall on the Dniester estuary. I must say that 80% of the republicโs territory is black soil, in addition, it has a very mild climate, that is, the country has rich agro-climatic resources that allow it to grow a large number of various vegetables and fruits, harvesting twice a year. Despite such grace, industry is actively developing in the republic.
All this suggests that Transnistria is self-sufficient. Here are the most valuable vineyards. The country just does not need to interfere with its development. And this is exactly what is happening, and it all depends on where Transnistria is located on the map, because the borders with its neighbors are completely closed, which does not contribute to its rapid development.
No luck with neighbors
This republic has no access to the sea. She is in the full sense of the word sandwiched between enemies. The Kiev authorities have never been friends of this country; they have in every possible way impeded its ties with Russia. The people won the right to choose the future in the bloody conflict that began after the Transnistria and Gagauzia adopted the act of independence.
A political map has not yet been printed where Transnistria is painted in the colors of the Russian Federation, but already in 2006 a referendum was held in the republic, in which 97.2% of the population supported joining this great country. And in 2013, in the first reading, the Supreme Council approved the primacy in the territory of the republic of the legislation of Russia. Transnistria has its own attributes of power - it is a coat of arms, anthem, flag. It has its own currency and a professional army, and all this does not apply to Moldova, the elite of which sleeps and sees itself as part of Romania.
History teaches nothing
Interestingly, in all repeating stories, the peoples of Donbass and the Lugansk Republic, South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Transnistria do not want to see and hear anything about their neighbors, they constantly offer to break up amicably, like the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Countries, into which the self-proclaimed republics were previously included by the power of political intrigue, fixated on narcissism, they cannot imagine how one can not want to hear nothing about them. Folk wisdom such as โYou wonโt be forcibly sweetโ is not for them. But the hour is not far off when the map of Moldova and Transnistria will not be a unitary state, and the border between these republics will be state.

Why doesn't history teach anything? Why are slogans, obviously failing, already proven on the worst side, creep from one hot spot to another? Is it really not clear that these cheap stencils only unite thousands of thousands of people, turning them from an amorphous mass into a single victorious people? And that you can never be forced to forget your language by any prohibitions?
