If parents had such an opportunity, then they would never let go of their children. But, unfortunately, this is not possible. Parents need to work, and children need to attend school. And it is unlikely that a teenager will agree to go to a friend’s birthday with his mother. And in this case, all parents would like to see where their child is, and attach a beacon to it. Megafon came up with a solution to this problem for them.
But in order to take this opportunity, the child must have a special tariff - “Smeshariki” or “Diary”. The parent himself can have any tariff, since any subscriber can send a beacon from Megafon. After you select the appropriate tariff, you can connect the service itself. To do this, you need to send a message from the child’s number with the text: “ADD space subscriber number” or dial USSD * 141 * subscriber number #, where the subscriber number is the parent number.
Since sending a beacon from Megafon is often necessary for more than one parent, you can add other numbers in the future in the same way. There can be no more than 5 such “parents” in a child, as well as “children” in one parent. There are other limitations. The parent will not be able to determine the location of each child individually, only all at once. In addition, the accuracy of the data obtained depends on how densely populated the area. The error can be from several meters to several kilometers. True, the service can be used throughout Russia, where there is a Megafon network (currently maps are only loaded for large cities).

After the Beacon service is activated, Megafon recommends setting a password for management. This is done so that the child could not independently disable the service or delete the number of the parent. To set such a password, it is enough to send an SMS to number 1410 with the text "PAR password space". At any time, at the request of the parent, it can be changed or restored using similar commands.
After making all the necessary settings, it remains to find out how to send a beacon from Megafon. There are two options. A parent can send an empty SMS to number 1410 from his number or dial the combination * 141 #. In response, he will receive an MMS message with a map and the coordinates of where the children are at the moment. It is only necessary that the MMS service is connected and configured at the parent. Otherwise, he will not be able to receive the message. The presence or absence of such settings can be clarified at the nearest Megafon service office or in the contact center.
And, of course, at any time, at the request of the parents, the service can be turned off by sending SMS to number 1410. The message text is "UD space subscriber number". But perhaps the main advantage of the service is that it is provided absolutely free.
Of course, caring and worrying about your child is common to all parents. But still, you should trust your children and not arrange total surveillance. Therefore, even knowing how to send a beacon from Megafon, you should not abuse this service. Otherwise, such parents run the risk of losing the trust of their child, and the child will surely try to get rid of such intrusive control. But this can be costly in a critical situation.
