Siberian Botanical Garden

Merchant Mansion
The architectural heritage of Tomsk has a huge number of beautiful old buildings. One of them was built in 1904 by order of the Tomsk merchant Fleer. The Art Nouveau building stands out for its rich decor: moldings, an elegant bas-relief depicting a female face, openwork metal fencing of balconies, forged lattices. Today, in the mansion with a blue facade, the Wedding Palace is located.
Semiluzhsky prison
An unusual attraction of the Tomsk region is considered to be the “Cossack prison” in the village of Semiluzhki - the rebuilt ancient fortress fortified in this farm in the 17th century.
This monument of culture in the open air appeared due to the efforts of the curator of the Cossack traditions V.F. Ilyin - an ordinary local pensioner. All buildings are exact copies of medieval buildings, since they were created according to the drawings of four hundred years ago and are used for their intended purpose. The Ilyins family live in the Russian hut; at the refectory they welcome guests; in the forge, the master demonstrates the basics of blacksmithing; in a covered storehouse store food supplies; a real bell rings in the chapel; paired brooms are offered in the bathhouse. There is a mini-museum with rare things collected in the surrounding villages. Antique clothes, armor, weapons, coins - all this can not only be seen, but for a closer acquaintance touch and even try on. Who will refuse to shoot a real gun, try archery or javelin throwing? Seversk Museum
Not far from Tomsk is the closed city of Seversk with a stele installed at the entrance, the top of which is crowned by a model of the atomic nucleus, which characterizes the city-forming enterprise. Previously, only the inhabitants and experts of the nuclear industry who conducted their research there knew about the existence of this city. Entry is restricted due to privacy and is only possible with a special pass.
Despite the fact that the town is relatively small and young, its sights in Seversk, Tomsk Oblast, are also available. The museum, which opened in 1987, is the center of the city, the largest among nuclear cities, since it houses the fourth part of the museum fund of the Russian Federation. The museum has more than 130 thousand memorabilia and photographs about the history of the city. Exhibits are combined in collections by direction. Items of archeology and ethnology, a valuable selection of awards and coins, and samples of applied art are presented. The Seversk Museum, in addition to excursions, attracts with general education programs and various master classes.

Museum of Local Lore in Asino
There is Asino city with a local landmark, created in 1989, 100 km from the center of the Tomsk Region . This is a local history museum with a collection of over 13,000 exhibits characterizing the history and natural wealth of the native land. The exhibition “Asinovskaya Antiquity” shows clothes, household utensils, household items and tools of the peasants who once inhabited the village. There is an exposition dedicated to the life and work of the writer G.M. Markov, a native of the region. The town, which received its status only in the 70s, is known as the center of birch bark fishing. The museum works closely with craftsmen who exhibit their original works of wood and birch bark.
Cathedral
The architectural decoration and historical landmark of Tomsk is a beautiful, unique peach-colored structure - the Epiphany Cathedral. It was erected on the site of a small wooden church at the end of the 17th century. In 1804, it was in this temple that the formation of the Tomsk province was publicly announced . The main cathedral shrines - a particle of the relics of the great martyr Panteleimon and the Crucifixion with a tiny particle of the Cross, where Jesus was crucified. Kirek Lake
The regional nature monument is a small beautiful lake an hour away from Tomsk. Rural park
Not far from Tomsk, on the outskirts of the village of Zorkaltsevo, there is a place beloved by city residents of all ages - the Okolitsa park. An unusual attraction of the Tomsk region is located on the forest edge, surrounded by pines and birches, and occupies a site of 16 hectares.
Since 2013, the park has held the annual "Ax Festival" - an international festival of craftsmen of wooden art, who work tirelessly for three days and give ordinary logs a second life. Tens of thousands of guests from all over the Siberian region come to see this spectacle. Participants' works remain in the park and adorn its green territory. There are more and more mythical characters and heroes of famous fairy tales frozen in a tree from year to year.
