But in fact, the beaches of Tel Aviv, whose photos are often published in travel directories, are considered one of the best in the world. Tourists are attracted here by fine sand, a gentle entrance to the water and a convenient location - the beach area stretches along the entire city, representing a wide and beautiful strip of sand, which locals often get on bicycles to.
If you want to relax on all the beaches of the city, then just rent a bike and move along the coast from one zone to another. And we, in turn, will briefly tell you about each of them.
Ajami Beach
This is the southernmost beach area of the city, located in the old and picturesque area of Jaffa. Many tourists say that it is here that the most beautiful photos are obtained thanks to the stone arches stretching along the coast.

And if you are planning a picnic, then feel free to go to this beach, you obviously will not stand out among the local public.
For those who plan to have a bite to eat in a cafe right on the shore, two cozy places can be advised:
- Restaurant Cassis. It is very beautiful and calm, but the food is not one of the cheapest on the beach. However, this does not bother those who wish to dine in the indescribable atmosphere of an oriental restaurant.
- The Oldman and The Sea. This place is always full of people who are even ready to defend the line to try delicious food at affordable prices. It is interesting that when ordering the main dish, the visitor receives free drinks and snacks in unlimited quantities.
If you just want to buy water or snacks, then you will need to walk about seven minutes to the nearest store.
Alma Beach
Many tourists call this beach the best in the city and definitely the most peaceful. There is practically nothing of the infrastructure, but this gives Alma more charm than spoils it. In the mornings, large waves can be observed in this part of the coast, so all Tel Aviv surfers flock here.
Vacationers on the beach are mainly locals, but tourists completely unjustifiably bypass this beach area with their attention.
Here is also located one of the most famous restaurants in the city specializing in seafood - Manta Ray. If you plan to have lunch after bathing here, then book a table in advance. Usually there are simply no empty seats in a restaurant. Manta Ray chefs cook very tasty and home-style, so this place will definitely become one of your favorite places in Tel Aviv.
Spring Beach
Despite the official name, this beach is often called "Banana" due to the large concentration of tourists and vacationers from nearby cities. The beach area stretched almost to the Carmel Market and the bus stop, which makes it very accessible to all residents of Tel Aviv.
Most often middle-aged people and athletes come here. Quite a lot on the beach of Spring and fans of Indian culture who are engaged in meditation and yoga right on the sand. Surfers also come here quite often, because at different times of the day waves suitable for skiing rise in the coastal zone.
For a bite to eat, check out Banana Beach, which serves refreshing drinks and light fare. But if you need something for relaxation, you will have to go to the Carmel market. And this is about 10 minutes. on foot, but you can buy on the shelves almost everything your heart desires.
Jerusalem beach
This recreation area begins right behind the beach of Spring and is actually located in the center of the coast. Perhaps that’s why almost everyone who dreams of sunbathing and swimming flocks here: pensioners, schoolchildren, teenagers, budget tourists who live in nearby hostels, lovers of democratic parties, and the like audience. Locals themselves consider this beach not the best for a relaxing family vacation, but it is difficult not to take into account its convenient location and the abundance of cafes and supermarkets nearby.
Beaches Frischman and Bograshov
These two beach areas are often considered by locals as one. After all, they are located in the neighborhood and the border between them is very arbitrary. In this place along the coast stretch numerous hotels in which tourists of average income live. Usually these are European youth, there are a lot of young French in this part of Tel Aviv.
Both beaches are quite clean and well equipped, as well as have developed infrastructure, so you do not have to go long to get a bottle of water and a tube of suntan lotion.
The best restaurant on the part of Bograshov is Metzada, which serves delicious cocktails, and the chic look gives the rest a special charm. Vacationers on Frischman prefer to dine at the London Café, where the menu includes many types of ice cream, smoothies and freshly squeezed juices. Here you can eat sandwiches and light salads.
Gordon Beach Area
Gordon Beach in Tel Aviv is ideal for athletes, because here at the very edge of the water there is a fashionable sports complex. It consists of a spacious hall with modern fitness equipment and a large pool filled with sea water. Also on the beach are sports grounds for various games - volleyball and beach soccer, for example. In the evenings, dances are often held here, and music is played from morning until late in the evening.
Mostly tourists from nearby hotels rest on Gordon. They spend time quite calmly playing games and playing sports.
Keep in mind that there are few shops around the beach, but cafes and restaurants here, on the contrary, are in abundance. It is difficult even to single out those institutions that more than others deserve the attention of vacationers. All cafes serve relatively inexpensive and very tasty food.
Hilton Beach
This beach area may not appeal to ordinary tourists, because most of it from morning to night is occupied by men of non-traditional sexual orientation. Therefore, couples here can be quite uncomfortable. But in general, the beach is very beautiful and well-groomed, in the southern part of it the surfers gather in the mornings who want to catch their best wave.
Family Beach Area
Tel Aviv Beach in Tel Aviv is considered the most picturesque and ideal for relaxing couples and families with children. In one part there is a small club of surfers, and in the other there are dunes ending in a beautiful cliff.
On the territory there is a small restaurant with simple dishes where you can satisfy your hunger and thirst. For those who prefer more sophisticated dishes, we would advise you to drive a little further than the beach area to the tourist destinations where the most famous restaurants of Tel Aviv are located.
Tel Aviv beaches: reviews
All the beaches that we have listed are municipal, so absolutely anyone can relax here. However, some tourists prefer to spend time in hotel complexes that have their own piece of the coast.
In Tel Aviv, hotels with their own beach are a rarity, as most of them are located some distance from the sea. Most often, our compatriots, dreaming of their own recreation area on the beach, book hotels with convenient access to the beach, allowing you not to cross busy streets.
The Russians who visited Tel Aviv speak with great enthusiasm about the coast of this city. In addition to the zones we have already described, Nordau deserves attention. Its territory is fenced from others by a high wall, and everyone who comes here clearly knows the schedule according to which six days of the week are equally divided between men and women, and Saturday is common when you can relax on the beach all together. It is interesting that our compatriots on women's days with pleasure come here to sunbathe topless.
Also, good reviews are left by our compatriots about the smallest beach of the city - Metsitsim. Young couples gather here and spend a lot of fun. If you go to this beach on a business day, you will be able to appreciate its beauty, but on weekends it is simply impossible to break through here.
We hope that after reading our article no one will say that a vacation in Tel Aviv is far from a beach.
