Tinkoff Bank is the only and first in Russia fully online bank that serves more than 5 million customers both domestically and abroad.
In 1994, Himmashbank was founded, which was later bought out by businessman Oleg Tinkov in 2006. After some time, the bank was renamed into Tinkoff Credit Systems CJSC. In 2015, the name was changed to Tinkoff Bank JSC. For 9 years, the bank has created an application for iOS and Android, as well as built a unique system of partner banks, where you can withdraw funds and replenish your account on preferential terms. The bank had no ATMs at all.
Own ATM network

Tinkoff ATMs in Moscow without commission are allowed to withdraw an amount of 3 thousand rubles or more. This cannot be done at the ATMs of partner banks.

The appearance of Tinkoff Bank's own ATMs in Moscow and other Russian cities is both an advantage and a disadvantage. First of all, this is the convenience of using customers, because for them there are enough points both of partners and of the bank throughout the country. In addition, Tinkoff self-service devices are the most advanced at the moment in Russia in terms of contactless entry technology, a QR code for replenishment and withdrawal.
However, the new Tinkoff ATMs in Moscow had their first shortcomings, which were later corrected, and customers were notified about this. Users can replenish the card in the amount of more than 300 thousand rubles, having received a notice about the commission, since the same rules apply to new devices. The same thing happened with the withdrawal - the ATM allows you to withdraw 1 million rubles, but the amount under the agreement is only 150 thousand rubles. Customers also faced a commission due to ignorance of the withdrawal conditions.
Using new devices is both a pleasant innovation and a deviation from the bank’s policy in the field of full online management, as well as an annoying disappointment with the rules for using cards.
