Yubileiny Park (Yaroslavl) is one of the oldest in the city. Located in the Leninsky district. The park was founded in honor of the 950th, anniversary, birthday of Yaroslavl. Hence the name.
It was one of the favorite meeting places of the townspeople. A magnificent fountain was broken in the park. On the shady wide alleys, the Yaroslavl people walked with pleasure at any time of the year or day, loved to relax on the veranda. Children sought to this park to ride on the carousel.
In the 1990s, stagnation occurred, the park was forgotten and badly launched. Events and concerts were still held periodically, but there was no life here. Everything radically changed with its reconstruction in 2017. Now, locals with pleasure come on a day off to the Jubilee Park in Yaroslavl. The zoo, updated carousels, playgrounds, an alley of bright colorful umbrellas, a reconstructed fountain that has not been functioning for more than 20 years - this is what makes this place happy!
Park Name Options
Not all locals will understand if you ask them where in Yaroslavl the Jubilee Park. The fact is that this place has several names. Locals call it rather “Motostroiteley Park” (or “Motoriki”). The fact is that earlier on the square, which is now called Yubileinaya, it was planned to build a culture house of the automobile plant (engine building), which was called the "Motoryka Club". Thus, this name quickly spread to the place of culture and leisure and became common.
Another name for the park is Dobryninsky. The former director of the Yaroslavl DC of engine builders was A. M. Dobrynin.
Fun in the park
The park covers an area of about eight hectares and is divided into several zones. There are many playgrounds and attractions for kids and adults, as well as a large Ferris wheel. This is an entertainment area. Prices for attractions start at 60 rubles (for children: a trampoline, a wave, a mini-train, etc.). A ticket for the famous Ferris wheel costs 70 rubles.
A small dinosaur park has recently been opened . There is also a karting track, a contact zoo. The main thing is to follow the rules of visiting. Do not give animals food that is not intended for them, as well as offend them. A contact zoo is open on all days of the week, except Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is worth paying attention that from 12:30 to 13:30 there is a technical break.
Dinosaur park
In 2017, a small but popular dinosaur park for children was also opened in Yubileiny. An entrance ticket here costs 150 rubles for adults on weekdays, and 200 on weekends. Children, respectively, 100 and 150 rubles. There is a dinosaur park from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., without days off and breaks. What is this territory? The park has large dinosaur figures, very realistic. They move, growl, sometimes quite frighteningly. The organizers warn that visiting this place with very young children is not worth it. They may be scared. It is recommended to go here with kids from at least five years old. For older children, the quest will also be interesting - a search for dinosaur bones. This can be very interesting for older preschoolers and even schoolchildren.
Where is the Yubileiny park in Yaroslavl
Yubileiny Park (Yaroslavl) is located in the Leninsky district almost in the center of the city. The main entrance goes to Chkalova street, to its beginning. From the side of the service entrance, which is at the DC of motor builders, we get to Lenin Avenue. This is a beautiful city street with typical Soviet impressive buildings.
Along the park, Yaroslavl train can be reached by buses 9, 11, 30, and trolleybus 3. The necessary stop is Yubileynaya Square.
From the Krasnoperekopsky district, you can get on buses and minibuses 3, 85, 95. If you go from the Solovievskaya hospital stop, trams 1 and 7 go to Yubileiny.
