For the Olympic Games, the city of Sochi has been transformed almost beyond recognition. Now there are many different objects, not only sports, but also cultural and entertainment. Among them, the Sochi Park amusement park stands out, which will be interesting to both children and adults, especially since getting to it is very simple.
History of creation
The project of a huge entertainment complex based on Russian folk tales and scientific achievements was conceived back in 2011. After making a decision on the construction, its implementation began. An entertainment center was created in the Imereti lowland of the Adler region. Sochi Park was built specifically on the territory of the Olympic Park near the sea.
The park opened on June 1, 2014, on Children's Day. However, during the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi, one could also visit it, which made more than 140 thousand people. Then the park worked only in test mode.
About the park itself
The amusement park Sochi Park is the first such project in Russia. A huge theme park with an area of more than 20 hectares provides visitors with entertainment for every taste, for which he was nicknamed "Disneyland in Russian."
The entire territory of the complex is divided into 5 parts:
1. "Alley of lights." Here are all retail outlets, cafes, restaurants, medical posts and other necessary institutions. It is also the venue for events.
2. "The land of the heroes." In this part there are various power games, as well as a large hotel "Bogatyr", which is made in the style of a fairytale castle. Near it is the Mirror Palace, designed to hold events for up to 250 people.
3. "Enchanted Forest". This is the place where most of the park's attractions are concentrated. This area is great for walking, because there are growing spruces, palm trees and oaks, and there is also a green labyrinth "Lukomorye".
4. "Eco-village". In this part you can find some more attractions, pavilions and places for walking.
5. "The land of science and fiction." This is an amazing place that is dedicated to the achievements of domestic science. Also in this part are a playhouse, playgrounds and attractions.
There is an ice rink near the entertainment center (in Sochi Olympic Park), so they did not begin to build it nearby. But they plan to build a dolphinarium, and recognized stars from the current Sochi dolphinarium will be performing there. Its opening should take place in the summer of 2015. Also, a lot of various sculptures dedicated to fairy tales, including green ones, were built here, and characters from children's books are walking along the streets.
The schedule of Sochi Park is stable: every day it is open for visitors from 11 to 22 hours. It works without days off all year round.

The amusement park "Sochi Park" is unique in every way. So, there are 3 attractions for adults who have no analogues in Russia! These attractions are available for adults and children from 12 years old, but not even every adult will decide to ride them.
1. The Firebird. Feel on yourself all the charms of free fall from a height of 65 meters! You will definitely have long-lasting memories of such a rise and fall.
2. The "quantum leap". This attraction is a slide 58 meters high. If you decide to ride it, then get ready to race at a speed of 105 km / h. This is the fastest slide in Russia.
3. "Serpent Gorynych." This is one of the longest slides in the country, because its length is 1056 meters, and its height reaches 38. On the way, the train develops a speed of up to 100 km / h.
Attractions for children
The new amusement park was built primarily for children who have not yet parted with their fabulous dreams, which is why most of the attractions are built for them. Children can ride the following attractions:
- "Magic flight." The attraction raises the cab, and then simulates a free fall. Designed for children from 8 years old accompanied by parents.
- "Drifter." The cabs of this attraction are made in the form of race cars, so that they will definitely impress children. To ride it, the child must be over 6 years old. Remember that only adults are allowed to ride.
- "Gems." A swing height of 13 meters and shine in the sun. Designed for children from 6 years old.
- Charlotte "Pincode". Children from 4 years old accompanied by adults are allowed on this slide. Surely the trip will bring pleasure to both.
- "Tea cups." One of the calmer options for children from 4 years old accompanied by adults. Feel yourself in the place of tea and circle in a cup.
- "Flying ship". He is ready to lift you and carry you far on his wings. For children from 4 years old with adults.

Events in Sochi Olympic Park are often held in Sochi Park, because there is a special venue for them. This opportunity is used by various circus, theatrical or musical groups, so here you can see their performances.
Most often in the park you can see the magic show "Illusion", watch the performances of street jugglers and acrobats, circus tricks, and also listen to the music of a glass harp. Sometimes the park is visited by a circus from Holland or other countries. Usually the cost is immediately included in a single admission ticket.
Playgrounds
The amusement park Sochi Park is ideal for children of all ages as a platform for active games. So, in the entertainment center there are 2 large platforms.
The first is called the Space Jungle. It simply amazes the imagination of both adults and children. What kind of swing, slides and tunnels are not here! Also, this playground will help your children test their strength and coordination.
There is also a "Water Playground" in the park. This is a great place to play on hot days in Sochi. All kinds of lakes, rivers, dams and streams made it possible to create a whole water kingdom with boats and crossings.
"Experimentarium"
One of the highlights of the park is a museum in Sochi called the Experimentarium. It allows children to discover all facets of science. Here you can and even need to touch the exhibits, you can check the laws of physics and chemistry in action.
The museum has a compartment dedicated to music, optics, electricity and mechanics. Also, visitors will find fun puzzles that are so interesting to deal with! Solve the laws of science on your own, because children will remember this for a long time.

Surely now all the children of the country dream of getting into Sochi Olympic Park. Prices for all entertainment and attractions are quite reasonable, so if you find yourself in this city, be sure to bring the children there.
The park has a single ticket, which must be purchased at the entrance. It gives visitors the right to ride all the rides an unlimited number of times and stay in the park for at least a whole day. After the construction is completed, the dolphinarium and its visit will also be included in the price. The only thing that is not included in the ticket is food and souvenirs.

Reviews
Basically, all visitors, with or without children, are completely delighted after the visit. In particular, there are many benches in the park and even padded stools, so it is simply impossible to get tired very much there. Also, visitors found a huge plus in the fact that you can, for example, come to the park in the morning, then leave it for a nap and go back on the same tickets.
The only drawback that visitors to the park note is the high cost of food and the price of tickets, but the issue of food can be easily resolved - just grab something edible with you or take a walk and look for cheaper cafes outside the complex.
As visitors note, sometimes queues for attractions are formed, but this is quite normal for such a complex.
Many talk about the incompleteness of work, because they were in 2014, when not all parts of the park were still functioning. Now, when everything works, it's a pleasure to go there!
