Although Halloween is not an original Russian holiday, it is gaining more and more popularity every year. On this day, children and adults with joy dress up in the costumes of evil heroes of various films and fairy tales. And one of the most popular among them is the scream mask, which can be done independently at home. And what is needed for this and how to do this, we will try to understand the article.
What is needed
So, you watched the movie "Scream". The villain's mask in this film is unusual and very scary. In order to do the same, you will need:
- paper;
- pencil or pen;
- stationery scissors;
- oil paint red and black.
- white threads;
- soap solution;
- brush;
- two plastic cups;
- black fabric (1.5x0.9m);
- rubber gloves ;
- building silicone and gun;
- plasticine;
- elastic bandage.
How is the mask from the movie "Scream" going
If all the tools and components are prepared, then you can begin to manufacture the mask. It should be noted that the work is quite painstaking and time consuming.
- At the very first stage, it is necessary to draw a sketch of the mask on a paper sheet. You can perform several sketches and choose among them the most suitable. Draw should be in real size, i.e. somewhere 30x25 cm.
- The next step is to mold a three-dimensional form of plasticine in accordance with the sketch. The scream mask obtained at this stage should be the same size as the sketch, i.e. real, and be convex. This will be the basis with which further work will be carried out.
- Next, take a bandage and cut it into strips 30 cm long.
- We put the cut strips on a plasticine base.
- If all the previous stages were carried out without gloves, then at this step they should be worn, since here you will have to work with silicone. We put it on top of the bandage and carefully level it. The thickness of the silicone layer should be approximately 2-3 mm. The product must be allowed to dry a little and apply sealant again, and then let it dry completely.
- The scream mask is almost ready. Now you need to colorize it. At first,prepare the paint. To do this, in one cup we mix silicone with black paint, and in the second - silicone and red paint. Black silicone needs to be painted over the eyes and mouth, and red traces of blood should be painted. After that, leave the product until the silicone layer has completely dried.
- When everything is dry, you can remove the top layer. Those. it is necessary to separate the silicone layer from plasticine. If this operation will be difficult, you can use a knife.
- Now with the help of scissors we make slots for the eyes and nose, if necessary.
- Since the mask is made of silicone, it exudes a specific and unpleasant odor. To remove it, the mask should be placed in a container with soapy water for about a day, then rinse the soapy solution with running water.
- In order for the mask to hold on to the head, an elastic bandage should be sewn to it.
- The last step is to make a cloak and hood made of black fabric.
