The Arshintsevo district in Kerch is located in the southwest, on the banks of the Kamysh-Burunsky bay. The name in translation from the Crimean Tatar sounds like “reed cape”. Until the 1960s, Arshintsevo was considered a village.

History

The first mention of Arshintsevo in Kerch is found on maps of 1817, where this territory is designated as the village of Kamysh-Burun with 22 courtyards.

Before the revolution, Arshintsevo was a small village with a fish factory and a cordon of marine border guards. Built in the 30s of XX century. The Kamysh-Burunsky iron ore plant and port became the main places of work for residents of Arshintsevo and the surrounding villages.

The village of Kamysh-Burun received its new name in 1948. He was united with the village of Gorkom and named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Boris Arshintsev, who died during the liberation of Kerch in 1944.

Climatic features

The climate in the Arshintsevo region from Kerch is somewhat different. Winter is warmer and less snowy. Summer is usually hot, up to + 30 ° C, but not dry, but wet. Often a light pleasant wind blows from the sea. Sea water warms up by early June, bathing ends in early October.

The park has many children's attractions, playgrounds. An interesting place is Ethno-village, where they not only sell handmade souvenirs, but also offer to take part in master classes. Concerts are often held in the park.

In Arshintsevo (Kerch), the beach is located on the Kamysh-Burun Spit, stretching for 1.5 km along Primorsky Descent Street. The width of the beach strip is up to 100 m. It is limited by a low coast, on which trees grow, and where you can hide in hot weather. You can drive to the coastline by car, in the park area there are barbecue facilities, picnic tables.

The beach is covered with fine fine sand, its width varies from 5 to 8 m. For the convenience of vacationers, paving stones are laid. The entrance to the sea is shallow, the seabed is shallow, without stones and pits, safe for children. Water warms up quickly, winds are rare, so waves are not frequent guests.

How to get there

Arshintsevo is 10 km from the central part of Kerch, leading to the center of the Heroes of Stalingrad highway, which passes through undeveloped territories.

You can get from the bus station of the city to the micro-district by buses No. 5, 5A, 28, 40 and 41, and from the railway station by bus No. 26. At the opening of the Tavrida highway in Arshintsevo, a transport interchange will be provided.
