The city of Strezhevoy is located in the north-west of the Tomsk region and is part of the Aleksandrovsky district. It is located near the right tributary of the majestic river Ob. Strezhevoy is a rather young city, recently he was only 45 years old. The nearest railway station from this settlement is Nizhnevartovsk (68 km). Two kilometers from the town is the local airport.

The city of Strezhevoy (Tomsk region) was built in the 30s of the last century. At that time, it was a small village where special settlers settled.
