When you want to relax on the coast of the azure sea and at the same time plunge into history, the first thing we remember about Greece. At the same time, there is a large selection of resorts. According to legend, in the past the peninsula was called Flegra, that is, “burning land”, and its first inhabitants were the Giants - the sons of Uranus and Gaia. It seems to many that Kassandra is a female name, but the peninsula got its name in honor of Tsar Kassandra - son-in-law of Alexander the Great. They say that the first settlement on the peninsula was founded by the great Macedonian as early as the 4th century BC. Life here was in full swing, the inhabitants were engaged in trade, a port acted on the shore.
Siviri
Today in Kassandra there are 44 settlements, each of which has its own special charm. One of the best resorts not only in Kassandra, but throughout Greece is Siviri. Hotel “Calypso” is located 250 meters from the beach, that is, on the second line. Within walking distance from it is a supermarket and a bus stop. Siviri resort center is about 200 meters away. Around there are night clubs, taverns, discos, where you will find quite affordable prices for all types of meals. At 8 kilometers, in the village of Kallithea, there is a well-equipped bowling club.

The Calypso Hotel Siviri has a total of 22 comfortable rooms of three categories. Of these, 2 are deluxe, 3 are junior suites, and the remaining 17 are the most common standard rooms. Beach
As already noted, the hotel is located on the second beach line, and the beach can be reached in 7-10 minutes, which, admit, not so much. The water in the sea is clean, just magnificent, the beach is gentle. Sharp stones can be found in the water, so it is better to buy rubber special shoes. Since the beach is municipal and entrance is free, the use of umbrellas and sun loungers is paid. Here you will certainly be offered a wide range of water activities: yachting, catamarans, scooters, bananas, water skiing, parachuting, and, of course, diving lessons.

Tourists who come to the Calypso Hotel are amazed from the first minute, and it’s nice, because they think that they will find a two-star service here, while here it is much more comfortable. At the same time, tourists can choose several food systems, up to ol ol inclusive. And this is rare in hotels of this category. Is everything so perfect in this hotel? Some tourists complain in their calls that breakfasts are always the same, and they get tired of the monotony very quickly, while others, on the contrary, express their satisfaction. The same goes for the cleaning issue. Tourists write that it is extremely rare, but do not forget that this is an inexpensive hotel, and they chose it primarily because of the availability of prices.
