Pure fresh water, peace and quiet - all this is White Lake. Belarus is rightly considered the country of lakes, because there are more than 10 thousand of them. About the title
In the descriptions of the lake there can be several variations of the name of the reservoir. The most frequent of them are “Pale or Dish of a Wagon”, which means “Pale or White Lake” in Belarusian.
Location
To understand where White Lake is in Belarus, it is important to realize that it is not the only one. This name was assigned to several reservoirs of the country, which are located in different areas. But now the conversation will be about White Lake (Belarus), which is one of the reservoirs of the Narochansky group. It is located in the Myadel district of the Minsk region. From the town of Myadel to the lake 6 km in a south-westerly direction. The nearest village is the village of Gatovichi. The lake is located a little south of it. The distance from the reservoir to the village is approximately 1.3 km.
Short description
Lake Beloe (Belarus, Myadelsky district) does not belong to large reservoirs of the country. Its area is less than 2 km², and the dimensions of the basin are 2.02 × 1.44 km.
The catchment basin of the reservoir, that is, the territory whose ground and surface waters flow into White Lake, is about 5 km². The volume of water resources is 5.71 km³.
The coastline stretches for 6 km. Soil along the coast is mostly sandy. The slopes of the lake basin have a height of 2 to 5 m. The bottom, starting with a three-meter depth, has a lining of sapropel. So called bottom sediments of freshwater reservoirs, formed over many centuries from the dead parts of aquatic plants, the remains of animal organisms, planktonic suspension and soil particles. Sapropel as a therapeutic mud is actively used for medical purposes. That is why a sanatorium was built on the shore of the reservoir and there is a camping site.
White Lake in Belarus is closed. In many places, its banks are overgrown with aquatic plants. Sandy shallow water is quite wide, however, it can be significantly overgrown to a depth of two meters. Along the shores of Lake Beloe overgrown with shrubs.

Since 1981, the surrounding area has been assigned to the Cheremshitsa hydrological reserve. This means that the lake and surrounding lands are under state protection, and here certain rules of conduct should be observed. On the territory of the reserve it is impossible to litter, make noise, break trees and so on. But a person who respects himself and the environment, abides by such rules in any place of rest.

It has already been mentioned that in Belarus many lakes are called “White”. The most famous of them are in the Brest and Grodno regions. Getting to these reservoirs by personal transport is easy.
The largest settlement in the Brest region closest to the reservoir is the city of Mikashevichi (Belarus). White Lake is not difficult to find. Moving along the Slutsk-Salihorsk-Mikashevichi highway, having not reached the last one, you should make a left turn and get on the M10 highway. In a few kilometers there will be a Belkhoy fish farm and a gas station. Drive forward a little more and you are there. There is no need to pay for amateur fishing. Additionally, around the lake you can pick mushrooms and berries.
