The cold season is the best suited for needlework. For long evenings, you can do sewing. Today we’ll talk about how to sew a tilde hare. Many needlewomen are fond of making such funny toys that also serve as interior decoration. Tilda hares are often masterfully made by craftsmen in pairs (apparently, then they are more fun together). First we try to sew one - for training.
Of course, it’s harder and harder to sew rabbits than cute snails, but if you make an effort and patience, you will succeed. Attract children to this entertaining business, they will be delighted. The peculiarity of these hares is that the seam passes through the muzzle of the toy. Paws and ears are sewn with a blind seam. Maybe the first time you won’t succeed as you would like, but believe me, with each next time the tilda-hares will come out better and better. And your friends and relatives will ask you to sew such a souvenir as a gift.
What do you need for creative work:
- The fabric for the hare body is better plain. It can be white, and gray, and flesh-colored - this is at your discretion.
- Contrasting patches for the ears of the future hare and for his clothes.
- Scissors.
- Mouline thread for nose and eye.
- If there is no sewing machine, you can sew it manually.
- Well and, of course, the scheme without which the hare-tilda will not work . The pattern is presented in the article. You can copy it from the monitor screen using a sheet of white paper and a felt-tip pen. And if you know how to draw, try to simulate the pattern yourself and make your own creative changes to it. Perhaps the legs of your hare will be longer or the ears wider.
Tilda-hares can be sewn from white fabric and painted in the colors you need with special dyes for fabrics.
Start tinkering
1. Transfer the details of the pattern to the fabric. This can be done with a marker, crayon, a piece of soap. Pin the pattern with pins, circle and cut with scissors, do not forget about 5 mm seam allowances. You should get 2 parts of the body, 4 each for legs and arms. Ears - one piece of fabric of the same color as the body, and the second part of contrast. For example, let it be the fabric that is used to sew the future outfit of the hare. It will come out very nice.
2. All cut parts must be sewn. If you will be stitching with your hands, try to do this with a small seam so that the product looks neat.
3. The excess weave must be trimmed, leaving a few millimeters of allowances. If you leave a lot of excess tissue, the small details wrinkle. It will be ugly.
4. We turn out all our details. You can help yourself with a knitting needle, a chopstick for Chinese food, a pen. Do this carefully so as not to damage the seam.
5. Now you need to fill our parts with a synthetic winterizer or other material that you have at hand. We don’t stuff the rabbit’s ears, but on all the paws we leave a little free space at the very end of the details, in the place for which we will be sewn. This is done so that it is convenient to sew, and your bunny could sit, and the paw-arms did not stick out in different directions.
6. With pins, pin the tabs to the body and sew with a hidden seam. Wrap allowances inward. Sew the lower legs along the extreme points of the body. We check how our bunny sits.
7. Ears need to be ironed and sewn to the crown.
8. That's it! It remains to thread the nose and eyes. Well, the clothes are already to your taste.
Tilda-hares love bows, lace, buttons, all this you can easily find at home.
